Trattoria Diegolina — Restaurant in Misiliscemi

It's the right place. I was socked by the awful services, bad location, and lack of respect for your clients. I have never been in a bar, restaurant or trattoria and felt the smell of poo at the table! If the ministry of health comes there, I'm sure you'll pay some fines. Well, you've run for business for a while and definitely you have no willing of changing it. I needed to say about my experience. The steak wasn't good at all. The potatoes were brought after. The orders were mixed. One dish wasn't brought at all. We stay inside, so it was a strong smell of poo from the bathroom. Someone was pooing, so for 10-15 minutes was impossible to breath well. It looks quite dirty. The prices are quite hight for the place. The staff is horrible. The female waitress was so rude with me. Well, the location is not so good, so it might work well for local people. Who brought us there might be a cheap person, so after all it was his fault. The wine ordered and drunk by him was awful. I usually like driving cocktails, but I didn't dare to order a cocktail there, so I had a it of wine. I can say that I have never had such an awful dinner. The waiting time was extremely long! The "garden" is a joke! It was the first and last time when I put my feet in these...

Delicious food is here! I would recommend their parmigiana, caponata, a simple salad of tomatos, onions and capperi. I highly recommend their pasta trapanese and their meat dishes. We had just a slice of grill veal and it was one of the best I've had in all of Italy. The biggest plus is the amazing couple that run the place. Nice and humble people that would feel lucky to have met. Wishing them all the best because they deserved it... As a story, while we were there a Belgium couple came from the next town to eat. While waiting to order, the woman fainted and was having a hard time standing. Immediately the owner helped her and knew what to do in an emergency. He also called for emergency vehicle and their hotel to let them know of the situation. He then went with the couple to the hotel to help them because the couple didn't speak Italian well and he wanted to make sure the woman was ok. He stayed with them at the emergency room until 12:30am until she was taken care of then came home to sleep 3 hours to start work in the morning... Just the nicest people. Visit them. Also although we were not fortunate to taste, we heard they make amazing fish...

ich bin schon sehr viel in der welt herumgekommen und ich liebe gutes essen und daher natuerlich vor allem die italienische kueche. ich rede hier jetzt aber nicht von den gault&millau kuechen, noch von den sonstigen hochgezuechteten sternekuechen dieser welt, nein ich rede eher von der „einfachen“ und „ehrlichen“ kueche, die kueche die es schafft, aus den jeweils landestypischen produkten, die koestlichsten gerichte ueberhaupt zu zaubern. diese plaetze suche ich, dort wo der gast noch koenig ist, wo man noch stolz auf die eigene kueche hat und man grosse qualitaet zu korrekten preisen bekommt. wie gesagt, ich kenne italien von oben bis unten, habe unzaehlige lokalitaeten besucht und alle form von kulinarik ausprobiert. vor circa zwei jahren wurde ich dann eher durch zufall auf „diegolina“ aufmerksam, denn erstens ist es nicht so leicht zu finden, da es sehr bescheiden und ohne grosse plakatierungen, sehr unscheinbar an der hauptstrasse von guarrato liegt und zweitens weil es auch in keinerlei reisefuehrer oder kulinarischen bibel aufgefuehrt ist. seit diesem zeitpunkt vor zwei jahren, habe ich mein kulinarisches schlaraffenland gefunden. ein zu 100% familiengefuehrtes ristorante wo „la mama“ in der kueche steht und an sich selbst die groessten ansprueche des „perfekten essens“ ueberhaupt hat, alles was signora lina auf den teller zaubert hat ein geschmack und eine anmutung zum niederknien. in der kueche wird nicht einfach nur gekocht, es wird kreativ zelebriert, es wird den produkten (allesamt aus eigenem anbau oder aus der baeuerlichen nachbarschaft und natuerlich auch vom fischhaendler in der strasse) mit unglaublichem respekt gegenueber getreten um jedes einzelne aroma des jeweiligen produkts zur geltung zu bringen und wenn noetig es mit kluger hand noch zu verfeinern. seit diesem tag vor zwei jahren, bin ich nun regelmaessiger gast und ein kulinarisch perfektes leben ohne „diegolina“ ist fuer mich nicht mehr vorstellbar. ich kann hier leider nur 5 sterne vergeben, aber selbst 100 sterne waeren zu wenig. diegolina liegt in guarrato zwischen flughafen birgi und trapani, jeder der dort vorbei kommt, sollte dort speissen, diegolina hat 7 tage die woche, mittags und...
