On our trip to see the vineyards of Barolo and surroundings we were told to stop over at this beautiful mountain top town with the majestic view of the low lands and hills. This little bar with 2 separate buildings was one of the view places on this day. We stopped for a glass of wine and a small bite to eat. Service: 9/10 fast and efficient and with a smile. The waitress and the colleague from the downstairs bar worked effectively and quickly as a team. Food: simple menu and simple food, but with good solid flavours. Nothing fancy but tasty. Only the chicken salad was found to be boring and uninteresting in appearance and flavor. Wines; say no more. Very extensive menus of several pages so you have the whole day to enjoy. I believe the enoteca and the bar are one so wines can be purchased to take home. Overall a solid 8,4/10 for an afternoon lunch and wine. View is pretty reasonable from the terrace...

We came just for a drink and ended up cancelling our dinner elsewhere to stay in the welcoming environment of the Barolo Bar. Thank you for the generous apéritivo snacks, excellent Vitello Tonnato and linguine with meat sauce, just what we were craving. At the end, you introduced us to Amaro di Lange and we bought a bottle to bring home!
