Beautiful restaurant! But would not visit again.

We ordered truffle and the waitress told us 4 grams truffle is the minimum (4 EUR per gram) per dish. So we said okay we take 4 grams each. The waiter (also the owner) then grated the truffle over our plate and we told him to stop. He did not stop and just continued gratting even though we said stop already. I then mentioned to him that it is too much and not as much as I ordered. He said he has to use the whole truffle because he cannot bring a rest back to the kitchen. We then were supposed to pay EUR 48 instead of EUR 32 just for the truffles. Mentioned very kindly to the restaurant owner that this is not correct business practice. The owners wife got very angry and started shouting at me because of my feedback even though I mentioned it very nicely. She was then nice enough to deduct 15 EUR from our bill.

It is located in the town center of Monforte d'Alba. A lovely restaurant with young spirits. We are travelling the Langhe area for work. In these two weeks, we always dined out and this restaurant is really friendly. Our selection of local restaurants was a kind of guaranteed by our local winery clients who often organise work meetings in the area. They booked all restaurants for us. Still, this restaurant was a good surprise for us.The dishes are basically traditional but there is always a nice trendy arrangement and lovey food decorations. The taste was excellent. There were three set menu and we chose two of them then my colleague added one more meat dish. Everything was fine. The young staff who helped us to choose the wine. My colleague is a wine expert and she was really happy about how the staff explained about their wine selection. It's very easy to park the car near by the restaurant. Such a kind and warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, splendid surroundings and magnificent service. Compliments to the Chef and Kitchen for delicious food, both traditional and innovative. I want to highlight your "Battuta di Fassona al coltello" and your "Risotto Carnaroli allo Chardonnay e Bra duro" and of course your "Raviolini al Plin ai tre arrosti mantecati al Burro e Salvia".
