Ristorante Moda Venue — Restaurant in Monforte d'Alba

We chose “the langhe degustazione menu” for our dinner and our experie was 10/10. The food was perfectly prepared and the portions were exactly of our preferences. From the dishes we highly recommend: the most delicious tartare, the softest guancialle and the panna cotta with caramel ganache.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and kindly fulfilled every one of our wishes. The waiters watched over us and offered everything to the best of our liking before we even said anything. The prices were lower than one would expect for the quality of ingredients used and the service which made our dinner perfect. Another aspect was the wonderful atmosphere created together with local food, one of the best wines we ever had and the overall scene. There is a splendid view from the restaurant terrace as well as a lovely fountain with many flowers and tiny romantic lights creating the most remarkable environment for a pleasant calm dinner.

Worst restaurant experience I've had for years. The first course was a pasta, which was tiny small and really didn't taste anything special at all. For the price I'd expected much more. The second dish was a duck breast with pumpkin paste, again really really small dish which was priced extremely high. First of all, the pumpkin didn't really taste like pumpkin but some sweet dessert thibgy!. Mixed with the duck was a total disaster of crashed tastes. The duck itself wasn't eatable! It was more or less raw, and the fat side was like chewing gum!

This is a restaurant with a really great location and the staff seemed nice, but unfortunately the kitchen just doesn't justify it! For the price range, you should expect an experience but my experience was that we had to go to another restaurant to actually get eatable food, praying that the raw duck doesn't...

The restaurant is almost like a trap and its "overpriced". It looks nice, the staff are nicely dressed and then the food is a full disappointment. You simply dont get what you pay for! Small portions, strange combination of flavours, cold food served at the table and raw, chewy duck which is not what you want to eat. And yet they insist this is the way duck should be served. There is steak with chips on the menu, the chips was some so called creative chips "gone-wrong" that felt like plastic in mouth. I can write a novel... but think twice as there is a marvellous restaurant 1 minute walk from this place with delicious food which is good...
