Staying at Capanna Suites so tried this restaurant on our first night. We had done a great wine tasting in there in the afternoon and the small restaurant has a beautiful view from the glasshouse part. The interior room is also nice but not as nice as the glass area. Sadly we had no option for the glass area for dinner but still had a nice table. We had an excellent wine and some very creative and beautiful dishes. The beetroot with blue cheese was superb and pretty. The fresh pasta really excellent. The service polite and understated. Everything done to a high standard. Well priced and extensive wine list. Feels like a restaurant at a hotel and is quite small with service finishing quite early as we walk past each night. Worth coming for but don't come at 9 or you might be the last people here. I wanted the 6-course version and she wanted 4. We were politely told we had to order the same one. Not a big deal. Service was solid but since everyone arrived to dinner at the same time to see the sunset, the 2 servers were swamped for the first 30 min.
Food was very good, especially the unique tiramisu dessert. Price was a bit high but you’re also paying...
Read moreWe had an incredible experience at Il Passaggio by Capanna. Even without a reservation, they kindly made room for us. Marco and his colleague welcomed us warmly and set us up outside with stunning views while we waited for our table. We enjoyed drinks and olives to start, which made the wait a pleasure.
The meal was outstanding — we tried several dishes including the pork, lamb, pici, and cannelloni, all of which were exceptional. To our surprise, they even treated us to a few dishes on the house, which made the evening feel even more special.
This was easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Tuscany, if not all of Italy. The food, service, and atmosphere were unforgettable. We highly recommend Il Passaggio and will definitely return on...
