Sala Degustazione "Luisa" — Restaurant in Montefiascone

We were able to take a tour of the mozzarella cheese making operation. Everything fed to the buffaloes is sourced right from the farm. We also learned about their olive oil and flour producing abilities, also on sight. Following the tour, we were treated to a tasting of a few different cheeses paired with their own cherry jam, then a pasta topped with buffalo meat and cheese. The meal closed with a hazelnut semi fredo topped with crumbled biscotti. The whole experience was fun and entertaining. The host at our agriturismo recommended this cheese dairy to us and we are very happy that she did. The service was lovely and attentive, the food was spectacular, and the whole experience was just beautiful.

We started with a salumi platter and it’s one of the best I have had in my life so far (and I have had my fair share of those all around Italy). The main dishes were also absolutely delicious. Everything was made with love and attention to detail, using a lot of the produce from their own farm.

È un ristorante disperso nella campagna di Montefiascone ma il navigatore lo raggiunge con facilità, la titolare è molto affabile ed il posto è raccolto ma di recente fattura e piacevole all'aspetto, i prezzi buoni. Le potenzialità sono enormi, perché le materie prime sono loro o dei dintorni, il problema secondo me è che non sono sfruttate adeguatamente. Le idee ci sono, perché ad esempio gli spaghetti con il cavolo sono molto particolari ma sfruttano poco ad esempio i latticini e male la carne, perché si vanno ad impelagare in tagli estremamente alti, la cui esecuzione culinaria non è sempre adeguata, mentre invece ad esempio lo spezzatino gli viene meglio. Gli affettati sono tagliati spessi e risultano poco amichevoli alla masticazione, la salsa del ragù invece è gustosa, semplice, senza molte spezie ma gustosa.
