Casa Valcellina | Albergo e Ristorante — Restaurant in Montereale Valcellina

The owner is super nice & friendly. He even helped me carry my suitcases upstairs. Spacious room with balcony. My original booking I thought included a fridge. But not all rooms have it. He made things right and gave me a fridge to store my meds. Unfortunately there is no microwave or coffee maker. I stayed there long term and it was wonderful view of the mountains by the balcony. The mosquitoes and stink bugs likes to hang around the balcony so don't be surprised. Just keep your doors & windows closed often. Room is temp controlled. The walls can be paper thin. Only 1 tiny garbage can w/ no plastic bag. Internet works good. They have events from time to time at the restaurant below. He had a wine tasting & hourdverves one time & invited my colleagues. He also gave me a nice gift when it was time to check out. Thank you sir! This is a beautiful restaurant earned a Michelin star. I have fond memories of this place as the neighborhood is quaint & quiet even for it being near the train station. Plenty of free parking. The mountains are beautiful here & close to Lake Barcis. The wonderful staff were so kind, even the housekeepers cleaned daily & refilled my water. This is a Hidden gem in Valcellina ! I will definitely come back......

I was working at Aviano NATO base and got the pleasure of staying at this out of the way jewel in Monterale Valcellina. This B&B and restaurant is of 5 star quality. In particular are the lovely hosts, Marian and Florina. They were excellent at addressing all my needs and they always made time to chat with me when I went to breakfast or dinner. The food was the best I have had since I have been traveling Europe for the past 5 months. I finally got a real Italian 5 star Michelin rating meal. This B&B is conveniently located near many tourist attractions. Lake Barcis is only a 10 min drive boasting spectacular views of the dolomite mountains and emerald green lake. The hotel is very modern and tastefully decorated. It is very clean and room servicing was excellent.||There are also many local places nearby for entertainment. I highly recommend this wonderful place for a romantic getaway, family vacation, or solitude vacation. I hope I am blessed to be able to come back to this...
