A Culinary Gem Where Nature Meets Elegance A truly unique food and wine experience. This restaurant offers outstanding cuisine, using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients—many of which come directly from their own on-site garden. The commitment to zero-kilometer produce is evident in every dish, which is both refined and thoughtfully prepared. The service is impeccable, with highly trained staff who enhance the experience. Guests can choose between à la carte options or a tasting menu that takes you on a journey through authentic flavors and creative combinations. A special mention goes to the small market inside the venue, where visitors can purchase the same fresh produce used in the kitchen—a wonderful way to take home a piece of this excellence. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, often enriched by live music events that make each visit even more enjoyable. Ideal for a romantic dinner, an evening with friends, or a special occasion. This is a place where time slows down, and every detail is designed to offer an authentic and memorable sensory experience. A must-visit—and one you'll want to return to.

We specifically booked a table and made the trip to try the place, as the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The place is fantastic especially in the evening when you can sit out without sweating. The service was quite good but we were also the first table and alone for half of our stay. Unfortunately the food did not live up to our expectations nor to the price. We ordered two starters. A poached egg that came with curry and a potatoes sauce. The whole thing was sauce lacking texture or taste. The other entry was better with squid. As a first dish we ordered a risotto that was well cooked but had a strange mixture of flavours. We also ordered a pasta with shrimps and cucumber that was quite good. As Maine we ordered the meat that came with potatoes. There was nothing special about the dish and the potatoes had no salt. We also ordered an octopus with a carrot puree, which was better. The crème bulle for dessert was ok. With a different price I could have given a higher rate but considering the price I expect more of the food. On the positive side the wine was great and the bread was very good too. Staff was friendly

A Hidden Gem in Lecce – Truly Unforgettable! Malcandrino is an absolute hidden gem in the heart of Lecce. The food is exceptional—elevated, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Everyone on the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. My favorite dish was the orecchiette (the traditional pasta of the region), and the panna cotta with salted caramel—honestly, two of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life! The wine list was also impressive, with great local options that perfectly complemented the meal. We had a fantastic time from start to finish. I highly recommend Malcandrino to anyone visiting Lecce—don’t miss it!
