We arrived at your restaurant tired, hungry, and with a very hungry 2-year-old child — clearly in need of a quick and decent meal. To our astonishment, we were turned away under the pretext that all tables were reserved, even though almost the entire restaurant was visibly empty.
We kindly explained that we would eat quickly and leave — not expecting special treatment, just a small gesture of understanding. Instead, we were dismissed and told we could find “cheap food at the city festival.” Frankly, this comment felt condescending and completely out of place. We did not come for cheap street food — we came for a proper dining experience and were willing to pay for it.
Out of curiosity, we did go and see the festival afterwards — and saw an enormous line of people waiting for food. Of course, with a 2-year-old child, that wasn’t even a real option. The suggestion, in our situation, was not only unhelpful, but frankly disrespectful.
What makes this worse is the arrogant attitude of the staff (or owner), who clearly have little interest in accommodating customers — something that is also reflected in the dismissive way they respond to reviews. Such a lack of humility and hospitality is shocking in a place that promotes itself as a quality restaurant.

Wir waren heute Abend zu dritt hier zu Essen.
Die Reservierung per Whatsapp wurde sehr schnell bestätigt.
Als Vorspeise hatten wir verschiedene frittierte Gemüse und drei Sorten Käse. Dazu gab es drei verschieden Soßen, die alle sehr lecker waren. Auch ein Schälchen mit Reis, Mayonnaise und Pesto wurde gereicht, was ebenso lecker war.
Als Hauptspeise hatte ich einen Kaninchenrollbraten mit Schmorzwiebeln und Kartoffel - seehr lecker!
Meine Frau hatte die Tortelli mit Pestofüllung und Ragout, was ebenfalls sehr lecker war.
Unsere zehnjährige Tochter hatte das frittierte Hähnchen und laut ihr war es in den zehn Tagen hier das beste Restaurant, wo wir bisher waren. Sie hat es als IHR Lieblingsrestaurant in der Toskana auserkoren.

Come antipasto abbiamo preso diverse verdure fritte e tre tipi di formaggio. Il tutto accompagnato da tre salse diverse, tutte molto gustose. È stata servita anche una ciotolina con riso, maionese e pesto, anch'essa molto buona.
Come piatto principale ho preso un rotolo di coniglio con cipolle stufate e patate: davvero squisito!
Mia moglie ha preso i tortelli ripieni di pesto con ragù, anch'essi molto buoni.
Nostra figlia di dieci anni ha mangiato il pollo fritto e secondo lei è stato il miglior ristorante in cui siamo stati nei dieci giorni trascorsi qui. Lo ha eletto il SUO ristorante preferito in Toscana.

Il Ghiotto is one of the best Tuscan good restaurant near Cecina. After a 30 km drive from cecina l'Osteria del Ghiotto offer in Canneto village, the best Typical Tuscan wild food. Best fiorentina steack, papardelle al cinghiale (wild boar), parpale al piccione (pigeon), crostini Tuscany etc...wine list is also excellent and Christiano (owner) quite a character.
