I Malpensanti del Trieste — Restaurant in Monticelli d'Ongina

It's a real shame when someone decides to change an old time and successful trattoria into a fancy, modern restaurant. All it does is erase that warm, "you feel like family" feeling. It doesn't help when the waitress, who is actually one of the owners, made my wife and I feel very uncomfortable when she rolled her eyes at us several times. It's also unimaginable that a restaurant located in a region of Italy known for it's salami, would serve salami as tuff as horse saddle leather. To the owners: Instead of responding to this review the same nasty way that you responded to previous negative review, view it as a wake up call to change thing now before it's too late. I Malpensanti is a nice "locanda" and restaurant in Monticelli, close to beautiful Cremona and Piacenza, and also conveniently close to the highway. The hotel is simple but clean and comfortable.
