This was on our list of NEIGHBORHOOD TO GOs. Our planned spot was Take Away only so we gave Fortuna a try. The restaurant is nicely decorated with white table settings. Very welcoming staff and as soon as you walk in you get to see the Catches of the Day. SO FRESH!! We had green salad and fried veggies with marinara to dip them in, and Oysters to start. The table gets bruschetta as a standard starter; the tomatoes and basil are Very fresh with ZERO hint of acidity which is excellent. The Oscriche tender and briney and clean; they would have been On Point if there was horse radish available. Our dinner entrees - linguini and clams n muscles for me, cheese pizza for our daughter and a simple bean soup for the hubs. The pasta was cooked perfectly with a nice bite and the shellfish still plump and delicate. Also thrown in were tender rings of calamari and a shell-on prawn on top. Nice presentation. Everything was incredibly salty and had little flavor. Even the bruschetta was too difficult to finish because of the salt. Service was slow and food took almost an hour to get. The waiter was very attentive… to his cell phone.
We ate about 2 bites of the pasta, 3 bites of the caponata and half the salad. The staff asked why we didn’t eat all and why we didn’t take it with us. We told them it was too salty. We left almost full plates on the table as we paid...

Semplice quanto il ristorante, mi dava l impressione di un stile di almeno 20anni fà. Molto ben luminoso ed una gradevole preparazione per i tavoli ed accoglienza. Abbiamo ricevuto 2bruscettine e 2calici di bollicine dolci in attesa delle pizze. Siamo stati serviti da un ragazzo con gli occhiali ed ammetto che la sua gentilezza è simpatia ti può mettere davvero di buon umore. Ma non credo che mi abbiano servito ciò che ci aspettavamo. Il mio calzone era fin troppo bianco con punti crudi, e perdeva tanta Acqua, ed era senza pepe, la stessa cosa era la Margherita con un po troppo olio e neanche lontanamente una bufala. Venivamo da un lungo viaggio a diggiuno, cene Siamo fregati mangiando metà pizza. Sara perché essendo napoletani siamo ingrassati mangiando tutta la vita un altro tipo di pizza. I prezzi direi che rano molto giusti. E nel fine il cameriere ci ha offerto.Anche 2 sorbetti a limone. Io sono un ex cameriere e mi ha colpito davvero la gentilezza del mio quasi collega.
