Biggest Scam! I usually don’t write reviews, but I simply had to write this one just to warn others.
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I have had in both Italy and my life.
Though the waiter was lovely, the mixture of poor service times, blatant lies on the menu, extortionate prices for poor food, and the unforgivable gaps between food delivery made this painful.
Initially, we were impressed to see a vegan option on the menu. A vegan burger with vegetables was advertised for a pricey €18, but we were willing to try it for an authentic vegan option. Little did we know, we would receive two dry, crusty freezer patties with cheap shredded salad. No sauce was offered. No bread. No seasoning. An embarrassment to burgers. I never complain, but this was a dish I had to return. (See picture)
We also ordered a pizza with pistachio sauce and were so excited to try such an exotic flavor!! And yet… we got a pizza with everything but pistachios. A cheap slab of mozzarella on bread. Disappointing.
We ordered a Caesar salad…and got a few leaves with none of the staples that make a salad “Caesar”.
And finally, just to top it off, 2 people on my table received their food 30 minutes after I had finished. F A tragic meal. An embarrassment to Italian food. Save yourself time, money and energy....
Read moreThis is a tale of two visits, the first for lunch, where we were treated amazingly by the staff, there was a great atmosphere and food and service could not be faulted. We were so impressed that we went there for dinner on Saturday night. The experience could not have been more different, the biggest problem seemed to be we were not Italian! Everyone else in the restaurant was Italian and they treated them differently to us. Service was poor, no effort was made to answer our menu questions and when we went to order wine we were told that only fizzy wine was available, despite the numerous carafes, glasses and bottles proving the opposite. At this point we should have left but we had travelled 30 kilometres to eat there and decided to push on with the food order. Or should I say fast food order, starters came with the mains, there was just a shrug when this was questioned. The food was ok, but not great or worth the cost. 35 minutes after arriving we were paying the bill. I mentioned that the meal and service was bad, but they didn’t care, they had a restaurant full of Italians being demanding, they didn’t care whether we were happy or not.
Verdict, if you are Italian then enjoy, if You are English or American then...
Riguardo i piatti, i culurgiones erano solo 5! e crudi. Alla domanda fatidica CI TORNERESTI? rispondo: assolutamente NO.
