Al Poeta — Restaurant in Naples

I’m not sure if it was xenophobia or not, but my American partner and I felt a bit shunned by the staff at Al Poeta. When we entered the restaurant, we waited at the front for more than five minutes as waiters passed by without addressing us. They seated us outside, though 99.9% of Italian customers were enjoying their food inside the warm restaurant. At the end, when it came time to pay, we stood again at the cashier for three to four minutes in front of a staff member who did not look up at us. Upon looking at our receipt, we realized that we were charged for items we did not order. I must say that the food was... delicious. If you want to experience a very typical napoletan fish meal, this place is a good choice. The staff is friendly and the location is good when it's calm around you ( we were lucky, something the plaza is crowded of people). Unfortunately I don't know if there is a menú since the people suggested us what to pick, but we can say that they offer a large amount of dishes. I highly suggest the Squid and Shrimp fried. "Al Poeta" è uno storico ristorante 🍽 e pizzeria 🍕 della zona di Posillipo 🗻, ubicato a Piazza Salvatore di Giacomo 📃📖📜🌳🌿🍃. Sono stato ospite di questo locale poche volte per la verità, ma la mia esperienza è comunque abbastanza positiva. La location è senz'altro bella, in quanto la zona di Posillipo è una tra le più affascinanti di Napoli, e l'interno del ristorante è molto fine ed elegante, benché lo stile dell'arredamento senta il peso degli anni. Durante l'ultima visita abbiamo preso parmigiana di melanzane 🍆 e per primo abbiamo preso pasta "allo Scarpariello" 🍝: i prodotti sono senz'altro freschi ed i piatti preparati con sapienza, ma non sono rimasto particolarmente colpito dal risultato finale (mi propongo di assaggiare qualche pietanza a base di pesce 🐟🐙🦐🦑 alla prossima occasione). Il servizio è nella norma, un tantino lento direi, ma parzialmente giustificato quel giorno dalla presenza di una numerosa comitiva di avventori che richiedeva un po' di attenzione in più. "Al Poeta" è facilmente raggiungibile con l'automobile 🚘, ma consiglio di fare molta attenzione ⚠ a dove la si parcheggia 🅿: ci sono diversi divieti di sosta in zona, e molto spesso i vigili 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️ fanno controlli e multe a tappeto!
