Sunset - American Sushi — Restaurant in Naples

Highly recommended and a must-visit place if you are in Naples.

We got a little tired of the same pizza and pasta dishes on the menus all over Naples, and wanted to try something else. We were curious about the combination of sushi and tacos with an American twist, and that’s why we ended up here. Let’s just say: WOW! We were NOT disappointed.

We couldn’t decide what we most wanted to try from the menu, so we ordered the “Sunset Experience” – a tasting menu with several different dishes and a margarita. Everything tasted DELICIOUS! We got some fried tortellini, fried shrimp, different types of maki, gyoza with various fillings, very tender ribs, and the sauces on every dish tasted amazing! For dessert, we got hot Nutella buns.

The staff was very nice and described every course and how to eat it. The owner of the restaurant told us about the decision to combine sushi and tacos – and he’s right! They do taste great together.

The restaurant is in a calm neighborhood outside the city center of Naples, but it’s worth the trip! We followed the directions on Google Maps, and it was easy to find. We took the train (Line 5 to Pianura). From the train station, it’s a few hundred meters to walk, but not too far. Just keep in mind that the last train leaves at 21:58 from Pianura station back to the city center. The staff will help you find a bus or taxi if you don’t make the last train.

We should have shared some pictures of the food, but we enjoyed the experience too much to remember...

I'm Mexican, and it's not easy to find a place that reminds you to your home, I wouldn't imagined to find it in here but luckily, I did. 🥰🥢🍹

Completely reccomended! Fresh and tasty flavors. The chef has an amazing good taste and creativity, so don't be shy and ask for reccomendations. 😉

The staff is amazingly kind and fun, the prices are fair and the place has good music and great environment . Amazing variety of rolls (mex/American style) and tacos (Northwest of Mexico vibes 😋 👌 ).

With no exaggeration, best local sushi/taco restaurant I have visited in Italy or even south Europe in general.

VISIT and confirm...

Purtroppo esperienza negativa. I tacos sono arrivati con numerosi difetti, carne stracotta, panatura che si staccava dal resto, per quanto riguarda il sapore qualcuno era discreto, altri meno apprezzabili, nel complesso non n'è valsa la pena. La poke purtroppo ci ha lasciati particolarmente perplessi, anche in questo caso la panatura veniva via completamente dalle verdure, il riso stracotto, o comunque messo nella confezione ancora troppo caldo era diventato una poltiglia, mentre sotto qualche pezzo di salmone integro si nascondeva una sorta di salmone frullato, una poltiglia sicuramente non di bello aspetto. Non ho apprezzato la quantità di salsa che abbiamo ritenuto eccessiva e coprente. Purtroppo aldilà di tutto e della presunta qualità degli ingredienti, che comunque non pareva eccezionale soprattutto visto il salmone, la cosa da dire è che nulla di ciò che è stato servito sia stato trattato nel modo corretto. Dalla cottura della carne e del riso passando per la riuscita ed il tempo di riposo della frittura per arrivare al dosagio delle salse si può dire che sia stato tutto sbagliato. Molto bello il packaging, consegna in perfetto orario. Da notare che sullo scontrino compare una voce che recita "aumento", 7€ in più probabilmente dovuti al servizio di delivery oltre ai 3€ di consegna, per un totale di 10€ oltre il costo dei piatti che costavano rispettivamente 24€ (tacos experience) e 10€ (...
