Trattoria Italia 61 — Restaurant in Narni

We were a party of four and showed up a 2pm without reservations, the house was full but after a short wait they cleared a table for us. Everyone was very pleasant and our table was set and water ,bread and wine was brought immediately. Their signature antipasti was amazing, a combination of cured meats and crostini with excellent toppings . Our pasta selections were top of the line , I can honestly say that it was the best Carbonara I ever had in Italy So far. I am sorry we didn't have room for dessert. I stumbled upon this family run restaurant by accident and was pleasantly surprised. The interiors are very nice and minimal and the staff is extremely courteous. We had an appetizer (strapazzo al tartufo), very tasty, even if you could hardly taste the truffle and, to follow, two first courses, spaghetti all'amatriciana and penne alla norcina. Both very good, but a particular emphasis should be placed on the penne, recommended by the owner, which was spectacular. Even the homemade tiramisu left me pleasantly surprised because you could really taste the mascarpone. Not to mention the value for money… very large portions and really low prices. La trattoria Italia 61 è l' ideale per chi si trova di passaggio per una gita fuori porta, un locale che si trova a pochi minuti dall'uscita Narni scalo. Il locale è riconoscibile dalla strada per l'edificio che su una parete presenta un murales di una delle scene più iconiche del cinema in fatto di cibo e abbuffate interpretata dal nostro Albertone nazionale. Il parcheggio è ampio e gratuito. Gli arredi sono semplici ma eleganti e trasmettono una sensazione di pulizia. Il bagno è pulito e funzionale, cosa purtroppo non sempre scontata. In due abbiamo preso: un antipasto Italia 61 con tagliere di salumi e formaggi, bruschette, cous cous, frittatine, oltre ai tre cocci contenenti fagioli e cotiche, scamorza filante e zucchine e trippa, tutto abbondante per due persone; un primo ciriole cacio pepe e guanciale, davvero superlative e porzione abbondante; un primo tagliatelle al ragù molto buono e anche questo senza lesinare sulla quantità; una grigliata mista consistente in una salsiccia, una lombatina di maiale con osso e due pezzi di abbacchio; due bottiglie di acqua da litro.
