Go there and do as I tell you! If you decide to eat there only once, have the mixed grilled fish platter! Do as I say, you won't regret it! If, like myself, you can go there more often, try one after the other. Today we had the carpaccio of fresh tuna, followed by the risotto with scampi's. It doesn't come much better than at the Antica Locanda! Trust me! With it, we alternate with a bottle of still Brolletino (Lugana) from Cà dei Frati or, discovered today, the sparkling variant, Cuvée dei Frati, Metode classico. Price/quality can hardly be bettered! I'm uploading some pictures, but not from the dessert. That has to be kept hidden. The profiterolles al limoncello are fantastic, so is the millefeuille with panna montata!||I am now also staying overnight there (3 nights in a row)Comfort is excellent, shower a tat too small for my girth but airco was working satisfactorily. Breakfast is correct.||Service and friendliness, especially from Maitre D and owner Giancarlo are beyond par. Ask and you will be heard. Here is true hospitality for you. Too expansive? I recently stayed here on a business trip and I loved every minute||The Hotel is beautifully kept , the rooms are modern with every convenience and the restaurant is a gem. The food is excellent and the menu is innovative and totally delicious . ||The Fish speciality is superb ||Being a female alone I was so well looked after by everyone . The staff speak English well and they appreciated my pathetic attempt to speak Italian. ||Tonight I was welcomed to join a children's birthday party with champagne and cake||I look forward to returning soon ||Ciao...
