Bar Alimentari Verigaa — Restaurant in Nesso

I recently spent some holiday time in the delightful village of Nesso. Nesso is on the lakeside of Lake Como. The village is wonderful full of quaint back streets revealing beautiful glimpses of Lake Como below the village. During my stay I regularly visited Bar Verigaa. This bar and adjoining shop are as delightful as the village. It is the hub of the local community; the bar is busy with locals and travellers alike. Both and made welcome by the hosts Veronica & Micky. These two are also involved in organising local events and festivals. They were superb. Prices in the bar and shop are exceptionally reasonable as they are priced for the local community. Only had a beer (+ huge basket of crips, courtesy of the landlord, thank you!) here after cycling in the area...what a little gem, I definitely want to visit again. It is quiet, atmospheric and very welcoming. The only 'downside' is the crazy amount of steps when you start your ascent at Nesso main street :) but at least you have earned your reward.
