Dirty and unhygienic. Avoid. Unprofessional and insulting manager who gave lots of excuses for the place being dirty. Accused us of being pedantic and too particular, and went so far as to say our standards are too high. Additional points: - air conditioning didn’t work - cleaner too busy to clean properly - sheets with holes in them - dirty tablecloth in room - dirty bathroom drawers - bad quality linen and bedding that didn’t fit the bed - said lots of customers have to wait to check in if room not ready. We arrived at 5pm and got to the room at 7.50pm. - we offered to show her all the issues in the two dirty rooms that were offered to us but she refused due to C19 - manager got very agitated and confrontational. Doesn’t seem to be experienced in hospitality and relationship management - excuse for dirty rooms was they only had one cleaner. They should not be taking reservations if they can’t provide a clean hotel - we feel need to report to ASL due to their lack of care for public hygiene, particularly during this time

Ho cenato la scorsa settimana presso la Locanda San Giorgio, luogo a fine strada in direzione Neive e poi fino alla fine della strada a Neviglie. Al tavolo abbiamo scelto la soluzione (unica a dir il vero) del menù degustazione a 45 euro bevande e coperto esclusi. Purtroppo la serata non è stata completamente positiva, la selezione dello chef se è stata premiante a livello visivo e qualitativo, non lo stesso si può dire dal lato quantitativo. Bellissime le decorazioni con i fiori ovunque (allego il vitel-tonné) ma un paio di fette in più non avrebbero guastato. Idem per le porzioni con i raviolini plin di primo ed un'ottima guancia al vino come secondo.... e come assaggi. Premetto che chi scrive è tutt'altro che una buona forchetta, ma spazzolare un paio di refill di companatico per riempire lo stomaco la dice lunga. Luogo similar-chic con arredamento fra Ikea e Maison du Monde che vuole essere chic ma ottiene l'effetto kitch, idem per il servizio piuttosto scostante. Carta dei vini non pervenuta pur in presenza di una notevole cantina (intravista), calice singolo Euro 8,00 nuovo personale record.... Se tornerei quì ? La risposta è no.

Siamo stati in questo meraviglioso posto a pranzo. Immerso nelle langhe e in una posizione unica affacciata su queste iconiche colline, vi lascerà a "bocca aperta" non appena arrivate. Accolti dal proprietario veniamo invitati a entrare e accompagnati al nostro tavolo ammiriamo le stanze di questo locale ben arredate ed attentamente curata nei dettagli. Abbiamo scelto il Menù alla carta ma c'è la possibilità di scegliere i menù degustazione con prodotti di stagione come funghi o nel nostro caso Tartufo bianco. Notevole. Per la scelta dei vini vieni accompagnato in una cantina dove puoi scegliere direttamente tra diverse etichette. Anche loro producono vini direttamente ed infatti abbiamo scelto una loro barbera superiore. Ottima la qualità degli antipasti, sublimi i primi e unici i secondi. Non hanno una grande varietà di dolci ma quelli presenti sono eccezionali. Prezzi nella norma per il tipo di locale. Si può anche pernottare. È presente anche una piscina che affaccia sul bellissimo panorama.

The locanda has a beautiful location & views, yet avoid it as the customer service is very bad especially from the owners.||We stayed in the locanda for 2 nights May as a group of 7 people: a triple room (2 adults and a 6y old child) and a suite (2 adults + 2 children).||On our second day upon returning to our room exhausted from a whole day of sightseeing, we discovered the room full of ants. There were hundreds of ants on the floor and on the furniture incl. the beds. They were coming out mostly from the bathroom. We immediately reported the issue to the staff member who came back with a very chemical spray and wanted to spray it everywhere despite seeing that I was pregnant (7 months). I stopped her saying it was dangerous for me. Afterwards, she came back with some strange powder which she put all over the room without even checking with me if it was ok. At that point, I asked the owner to have the room changed, explaining that as a pregnant woman I could not sleep in the room full of chemicals. On top, we were with our 6-year-old son and wouldn’t expose him to it either. Not mentioning how unpleasant it is to sleep in the bed with ants.||Apparently, they did not have any available room. Instead, the owner started cleaning everywhere with bleach. The moment I had discovered it, I informed her that it was not recommended for pregnant women to be exposed to bleach cleaning products as it could harm an unborn baby. I repeatedly asked to change room and informed her we couldn’t sleep there.||At the point (already after 7pm), the only solution the owner proposed was to get a room in another locanda/ hotel. Instead of looking for a place for us to stay, a staff member just handed out a paper with a phone number to us and told us to contact them. Nobody picked up the phone. From then on, the owner disappeared and did not care at all about the situation leaving us without a room to stay at night!!!! For the rest of the night, the owner showed absolutely no interest in finding out if we got any place to stay.||We called several other places and they were all booked. In the end, our friends staying in the suite offered that me and my son could sleep there and our husbands slept in the triple room- where there were still ants at night and the next morning.||At the check-out we had expected to see the owner there to discuss the matter and agree on the compensation for the stress and inconvenience caused. She did not show up, the staff refused to call her or give us her phone number. I reached out the owner via email after returning home, but despite several follow-ups never heard back from her. This is not the way to treat customers. Not mentioning that full room of ants does suggest poor hygiene standards of the...

Unfortunately this place fell far short of basic cleanliness standards which is particularly worrying given that cleanliness is more important than ever. So much so that we feel it necessary to report to the authorities which is something we’ve never done before. Spent 2 weeks in Italy during Covid 19 period and the cleanliness of all places has been immaculate until now.||Some key issues:|- arrived 5pm and our room wasn’t ready until 7pm.|- room was unclean in that surfaces and the floor had dust and dirty everywhere. |- they moved us to another room which was equally unclean so they offered to re-clean it.|- we eventually got into new room at 7.50pm but still unclean. Had to stay as it was suggested we would have to pay anyway despite the various issues already encountered.|- booked 4 nights but abandoned the stay after one night and were prepared to take the financial hit.|- upon raising the issue the next morning upon check out, the explanation was that they had one cleaner, full hotel and that we were being too pedantic and should be more understanding during this difficult period.|- manager who took the feedback badly, was confrontational, unprofessional and insulting when dealing with it and sarcastic whilst reluctantly processing a partial refund.|- she called us stupid and ignorant and referred to other guests as such and said that if you look hard enough anywhere for dirt you will find it.|- to quote her she said ‘do you think you are the only guests to wait hours for check-in and to complain about a dirty room’ and ‘we explained we had busy weekend and no time to clean rooms properly’|- we made the point that if they were struggling to clean the rooms to a sufficient standard, they should have cancelled reservations rather than put guests in danger and add to the existing public health risk|- we offered to show them the issues in each room (including holes in sheets and other clearly visible dirt) but they refused to go into the room due to C19 which was ironic. ||We are well travelled, reasonable and understanding travellers and have stayed in multiple hotels from hostels to high end places but never encountered such uncleanliness or bad...
