Trattoria Fita — Restaurant in Nuovo Circondario Imolese

I had lunch here with my handsome boyfriend who knew of it from an old Bourdain episode. He said after seeing that episode, he hasn’t been able to forget about the meat!! We made the stop to the unassuming village restaurant between the drive from Bologna to Florence. This was the best decision we made our entire trip to Italy! Amazing experience here. Food was perfect and everything about our visit was enjoyable. Our server was gracious and immediately made us feel very comfortable! Treating the meal as the once in a lifetime experience it was, we ordered the most aged, finest meat with a beautiful porcini mushroom dish and a delicious side of potatoes. We started inside the restaurant which was cozy and very warm - we finished lunch on the patio! It was not an inexpensive meal, but in our opinion well worth enjoying a meal here if possible!! It would be my dream to return...

we travelled here in the footsteps of the late Anthony Bourdain, and If I could give it 6 stars I would… one of the finest meals I’ve ever had in Italy, with excellent consideration for both Italian and English speaking customers, they care deeply about a positive experience, a high quality and natural experience with food and fantastic dishes from start to end. The best bistecca alla fiorentina I have tried, great wine pairings and excellent pastas. This is truly a hidden gem in the Emilia-Romagna region. Trattoria Fita is popular with locals. In fact it was recommended to me by someone from the area. It's found in Borgo Tossignano and Google Maps will lead you straight there. It's just a stone's throw away from a lovely park area with good paid parking facilities and children's play area. That said it's not easy to park in the street of the restaurant. Fita is a rustic restaurant with the cooking done on an open fire, and an outside dining area out front. That's a bit hot during the day. The kitchen also provides wonderful pasta dishes. We had the grilled meat option which was delightful. All in all, we would recommend this restaurant to anyone...
