1st impressions were good. Lovely and clean, plenty of staff at hand, and the place is massive. Obviously, it can cater for large numbers. But that's where the positive experience ended. Was seated and ordered our starter and next course, but not a pleasant interaction. Should have been an early warning sign. Got our starters. The prawn cocktail was OK,but how can you get that wrong. My wife had a buscieta, and it reminded us of the frozen pizza slices we had as kids. Microwave food. No sooner were we finishing starters or not finishing them when one of the many staff members rocked up to the table with our next course. To my horror, another staff member appeared from behind and on trying to remove our starters, dropped them in my lap. They basically proceeded to remove the food and plates from my lap, and with no apology, put our next course on the table. No cleanup, no apologies were forthcoming. Then 1 member of staff came out with a spray and cloth for me to clean my clothing. A joke. We did try and finish our pasta dishes, but once again, they obviously were reheated. When paying on leaving, no apology, and needless to say, which is not like me, definitely no tip. Worst experience ever in any restaurant I have eaten in anywhere. Even seen other tables returning the stale bread placed on tables. I could go on and on. I would highly recommend...

I visited this restaurant in 2006 and I have to say the standard here has dropped since then, possibly through change of ownership?

We ordered our food and drinks, expecting as per any restaurant in Sicily, to have the drinks arrive (maybe with some bread) followed by the food.

The food arrived 1st with x2 meals missing.

We had to ask 3 times where our drinks were, to the point that the children were crying for water and we'd almost finished the food that had arrived, eventually going up to the fridge to take the water ourselves.

The staff stopped us from doing this and then the beer and wine came with the water, although it was far too late for us to enjoy this with 4 of 6 having eaten already.

We also had to ask a number of times for the rest of the food, which arrived later and over-cooked to the point that we asked for boxes to put it in, so the children could escape and calm down.

It's a shame as this was once a great restaurant, however the service and the food was nowhere near the standard I recall...

Ieri sera abbiamo mangiato qui, Il locale era particolarmente affollato (come ci si può aspettare in questa stagione) dopo aver fatto una breve fila per il tavolo ci siamo seduti all'aperto. Vedendo altri fumatori nell''area abbiamo chiesto una ceneriera (mai arrivata); dopo aver aspettato un bel po' abbiamo ordinato come antipasto delle "bruschette classiche" e un "insalatona vegetariana". Le prime avevano lo stesso sapore e consistenza di una pizza surgelata, mentre la seconda doveva contenere mozzarella di bufala ma è arrivata senza. Abbiamo dovuto infatti chiedere alla cameriera di farla aggiungere e comunque qualsiasi cosa ci abbiano aggiunto di sicuro non era mozzarella di bufala, oltre ciò le verdure arrostite erano per la maggior parte crude! Come primi abbiamo ordinato delle "pennette al pesto di pistacchio al salmone" (sono arrivati dei paccheri al posto delle pennette) e una "pasta alla norma". I piatti ci sono stati portati mentre stavamo ancora mangiando l'antipasto che abbiamo quindi dovuto lasciare per non fra freddare la pasta. I piatti dell'antipasto sono rimasti sul tavolo fino alla fine della cena. I primi non erano male e anche abbondanti. Abbiamo preso due bicchieri di vino rosso che non era davvero un granché. Almeno il conto non è stato salato.

PS: non so se è dovuto a questa cena o meno ma stamattina entrambi avevamo mal di pancia.

In risposta al proprietario: noi siamo venuti li per una serenissima cena, non vedo perché saremmo dovuti volontariamente andare in un locale mediocre solo per criticarlo! Faccio notare che sono campano e sono cresciuto a pane e mozzarella di bufala e posso assicurare che quella 'cosa' messa sull'insalata non lo era. Per quanto riguarda il pesce non ci vuole un chef stellato per capire per capire che è salmone in scatola (rio mare?). Consiglio un po' di autocritica nel valutare i commenti dei commensali, sono loro che fanno vivere un ristorante, senza clienti soddisfatti l'attività va a rotoli e non vedo come offenderli possa risolvere gli evidenti problemi. Questo ristorante è un esempio di cattiva ristorazione! Manca l'ABC del servizio: è consuetudine aspettare che i clienti finiscano una pietanza prima di portarne un'altra e soprattutto quando si passa alla portata successiva i piatti della precedente vanno portati via. I prodotti del luogo non vengono valorizzati, il numero di coperti, a quanto pare, è eccessivo oppure il numero di personale è esiguo! Inutile nascondersi dietro scuse sterili, quali il reddito di cittadinanza; se si vuole fare funzionare un ristorante o si riducono i coperti o si incrementa il personale. Consiglio di chiudere il ristorante e lasciare unicamente la pizzeria che si adegua agli standard (bassi) del resto dei locali della zona.

Piccolo inciso divertente: è risaputo che se qualcuno è abituato a mangiare surgelato quando mangia un prodotto fresco sta male con la pancia 😂😂😂🤦🤦... Ma si rende conto che...
