We had dinner at this beautiful place tucked away in the mountains and are just blown away by the food and hospitality that we received! The food was absolutely delicious, they made a special veggie option of everything for me without any problem and the meat version for my partner, and both menus were just wauw! Homemade bread, delicious agro dolce peppers and the best version of a caponata/aubergine stew I’ve ever tasted! The pasta, followed by traditional Sardinian dumplings and followed by herby ricotta ravioli (we were bursting by this point) were all utterly delicious, every bite was a true taste sensation made with local ingredients and cooked to perfection. The friendliness and hospitality it got served with is something we will take with us forever, such an amazing place to have discovered and our evening at the restaurant is one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

We've been both on east and west side of Sardinia. Small Cafe and big restaurants. This is the best place we ate! The place is open all the time. The owner is super friendly and made food especially just for the two of us. Everything is fresh and home made. Honestly delicious. Place has beautiful garden in front with old Fiat 500. Atmosphere is great, food amazing, prices reasonable. Our favorite on Sardinia! ❤️

I am Sardinian and I been here with my boyfriend as I wanted him to try authentic Sardinian food. We had an amazing meal. I can guarantee everything is home made from scratch as I can tell the difference. Everything you eat here is authentic and the products are from that specific region/villages around. Typically the menu is a fix menu, don’t expect to choose what to eat as is not a fast food and it needs preparation, so clearly they cannot propose multiple dishes, but is very variegate and the menu is good for children and adults. Highly recommend.

Ps: is a place where to relax and enjoy the meal, it takes a bit to arrive but you won’t be disappointed of the flavors.

Have a nice trip...

Eating at Sant’Anghelu was the highlight of our trip through the nuoro province.

Gianpaolo, the cook and owner, provides an amazing culinary experience, with a set meal based on seasonal products. We were served with fresh courses of vegetables, pasta, meat and desserts, all of which were incredibly tasty and filling. This, coupled with lots of wine and local liquors, amounted to around 40 euros per person (but 25 without the meat courses and wines/ liquors), which was really surprising for the quality and quantity of food provided (we recommend not eating anything the day before)

Thanks you so much for this. Easily recommend to anybody who...
