After travelling Sardegna up and down for 2 weeks we finally found this wonderful place with nice, welcoming people and stunning views. The food there was the best we had on the island,made with fresh authentic sardinian products accompanied with top notch red house wine we could ever get. In fact, we asked the owner if he could give us a bottle take away which he happily did. 😀 Also, if you’re planning a stop here don’t miss the goat stew. The best restaurant we have been so far after traveling from Cagliari, Villasimius, Arbatax, etc. People are the most kind, found a table for us on the day of the feast without booking. And not just the table, THE BEST one with the view! The food is melting in the mouth, homemade red wine is just outstanding and overall atmosphere in the mountains is not comparable to any experience. I ate for the second time at Il Gofu. I would go again as soon as I am in the region. They serve a great maialetto The house wine is great. I always take a carton of 5 liter home.
