We had a truly memorable meal at this charming restaurant nestled in a small village just across from Orvieto. The view alone is worth the visit — you can admire the entire town of Orvieto from your table!

We started with a delicious selection of cold cuts as an appetizer — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For the main course, we had a generous mixed grill that included a perfectly cooked Fiorentina steak. The meat was high quality, tender, and grilled to perfection — simply outstanding.

The atmosphere was warm and rustic, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. Whether you’re passing through the area or staying nearby, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

Girarrosto del buongustaio in Orvieto dinner organized at the last moment, without reservation. They were available to prepare a table for us despite the time. Very attentive to the anti covid regulations, a plause for this. Genuine, simple and good food. Good quality starters. Unfortunately they missed a chance with the main course and the side dish. A cut of beef obviously cut in the wrong way. Overly fibrous and inedible. The side dish of grilled zucchini seemed instead boiled .. Too bad. However, the location of the restaurant is beautiful, just outside Orvieto, with a beautiful view. Not recommended, but I'm sure they know how...

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because it was a very hot day (July 2023) and very little air circulation outside as there were canopies to protect from the sun. Many women had fans. However the view was wonderful and on a cooler day it would have been magnificent. We knew immediately that it was a bit of an upscale restaurant from the way people were dressed... it was a Sunday....probably locals. But the food was excellent and so was service. I had a fava bean pesto pasta...
