Pizzeria Bar Osteria con Cucina da Virgi/Al Cacciatore — Restaurant in Osoppo

On our way from Poland, once we entered Italy and got on the highway, we got really hungry. We found this little pizzeria just a few minutes off the highway on Google Maps.

Parking was easy with a large lot right outside. We arrived just before opening (classic Italian siesta timing), but once the owners showed up, we were warmly welcomed.

The pizza selection was big and everything we tried was really delicious. I recommend trying something other than margherita, which is a bit plain. The dough here is different from a typical Neapolitan pizza — still Italian, but unique and very tasty.

My top picks are the bresaola with rucola and the mortadella with pistachio — both were excellent! We finished with a perfect espresso.

Purtroppo Google non effettua controlli incrociati e quindi vorrei far notare che questo ristorante è stato aperto solo nel novembre 2023 e la maggior parte dei dati relativi alle visite non può essere corretta, per usare un eufemismo. Vivo nella zona da 30 anni. Ero molto entusiasta della riapertura di un locale qui a Osoppo che è stato riaperto più di quattro volte. Dato che pubblicizzavano il Menu-Fisso o Menu Operaio, ho voluto provarlo. Entrando nella "parte ristorante" del locale, ho visto solo tavoli grigi scoperti e privi di qualsiasi atmosfera. Non c'erano coperti, cioè non c'erano né posate né tovaglioli. Mi ha ricordato una tipica pizzeria di Napoli. Tuttavia, mi è stato portato il menu, come in un ristorante vicino, ma con gli stessi prezzi. Il menu a prezzo fisso è nella fascia alta della zona. Il piatto principale è stato servito su un piatto insieme all'insalata mista. Purtroppo non era all'altezza degli standard abituali della zona. Non posso consigliare il ristorante in nessun caso e mi chiedo perché o come sia nata una recensione così positiva. Rezensionen sollen in erster Linie potenziellen Gaesten und dann dem Management helfen. Viele vertrauen darauf. Google macht leider keine Gegenchecks und so weise ich darauf hin, das dieses Restaurant erst im November 2023 eroeffnet wurde und die meisten Besuchsdaten gelinde gesagt unmoeglich stimmen koennen. Ich lebe seit 30 Jahren hier in der Umgebung. Ich war sehr gespannt auf die Wiedereroeffnung eines Betriebes hier in Osoppo der mehr als viermal eine Neu/Wiedereroeffnung erlebt hat. Da man mit Menu-Fisso bzw. Menu Operaio geworben hat, wollte ich dies ausprobieren. Beim Betreten des "Restaurantteils" des Lokal sah ich nur ungedeckte kahle graue Tische mit dem Fehlen jegliches Ambiente. Kein Tisch war gedeckt. d.h. kein Besteck mit Servietten. Mich erinnerte dies an eine typische Pizzeria in Neapel. Trotzdem brachte man mir die Speisenkarte, wie in einem in der Naehe gelegenen Restaurant allerdings mit gleichen Preisen. Das Festpreismenue liegt im oberen Bereich hier in der Gegend. Man servierte den Hauptgang zusammen mit dem gemischten Salat auf einem Teller. Es entsprach leider nicht dem in der Gegend ueblichen Niveau. Ich kann das Lokal auf keinem Fall empfehlen und mich ur wundern, wodurch oder wie eine derart positive Bewertung...

Amazing 🤩 today we had lunch there. I chose pasta with duck ragú and my family wanted 🍕All dishes were very delicious. Pizza was thin and with perfect crust, my pasta was fresh made and absolutely perfect. I save this place for next visit. Hosts were absolutely welcoming and friendly. Definitely obvious that is family business where quality is in the first place. My kids even have got sweets...
