We went to the recently opened Nonno Vittorio restaurant. The place was charming; the driveway, the buildings, the setting, the garden. All beautifully, in a unified style, simply a fairy tale. The interior of the restaurant inviting, atmospheric. The table decoration is captivating. Service courteous, friendly, professional. The dishes; we are rare (or not at all) salt users, so for us the dishes were too salty. The tuna tataki we ordered lacked flavour and was definitely overcooked and soggy. A dish that looked like shrimp tortelloni was served cold and also very very salty. One other minor note; we were offered an excellent wine from the region, unfortunately we were not warned of the relatively high price, in relation to the food served. We had tried wines in many different places in the region and the price surprised us (against this background) in the bill. We would prefer to be warned about the price. However, we put this down to the freshness of the place and perhaps the takeover of the chef team with good customer service? We wish the place many...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would! What a delightful experience. From start to finish, everything was perfection. The property (masseria) is stunning. The welcome we received was warm and our two waiters were absolutely delightful and so attentive. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Variety of food on the menu was expansive.
We even asked for a tour at the end of our meal and Mirko kindly showed us around the property and all I can say is I wish I was staying here! It opened in June 2024 after two years of work and has been booked out ever since.
The best part is they grow their own produce so a lot of the ingredients (which are in a league of their own) on the menu are their own.
My highlight -the semifreddo is the best dessert I’ve ever had.
Do not miss this experience at Nonno Victorio. I guarantee you it will be a highlight...
Read moreNonno Vittorio is a place well worth discovering. The service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and impressively multilingual. The staff made us feel very welcome and were extremely accommodating when it came to dietary intolerances, which was greatly appreciated.
All of the dishes we tried were superb, with the asparagus and prawn pasta and the Tomahawk steak standing out in particular – both were absolutely delicious. The ingredients were of high quality, and the attention to detail in preparation was clear.
The restaurant may be a little tucked away, but it’s absolutely worth the journey. A fantastic dining experience – highly...
