Pizzeria "Da Micchio" — Restaurant in Ostuni

We spontaneously had dinner at Pizzeria Da Micchio as it was close to our accomodation. We were surprised to see so many guests there when we arrived but still we managed to secure a table. It's great value for money - the house wine was pretty good, so was the pizza and the orrechiette with tomato sauce. But the highlight was definitely the home-made tiramisu and the friendliness of the staff.

Amazing al fresco combo of great food, service, location and price. Book ahead to avoid disappointment. Although, in our case, disappointment meant getting takeaway pizzas on our first visit when there was no table available. We snuck in at opening time tonight and enjoyed a shared mixed starter (the gift that keeps on giving - there were about 8 small dishes to share!) followed by two fabulous pizzas. An all-around wonderful experience in a truly special place! Thanks to a tip, my family and I discovered Pizzeria Da Micchio in a town not too far away frim Ostuni – what a hidden gem, pleasantly away from the usual Instagram hustle. The food is authentically Pugliese, the pizza is outstanding, and the staff are exceptionally welcoming. The owner and his family are personally involved, making sure everything runs perfectly.
