That was the worst expierience I ever had. The food was not fresh, we ordered as aperitif the plate with cheese and ham and bruschetta, there was no cheese, so we got a plate of not fresh hams, it looked disgusting, old rucola and not fresh hams, bruschetta was eatable, but not very tasty. For main courses we ordered risotto and grilled sea food and that was bad as well, seafood drown in oil and risotto which wasn’t even creamy, just cooked rice with few calamares. The portions were small and the prices high, higher even than in big cities of Sicily, we were encouraged by good recommendations, but there was nothing good about this place. Cucina casalinga ma al contempo innovativa, allo chef piace aggiungere un pizzico di innovazione ad alcuni piatti della nostra tradizione. Dall'esterno il locale sembra abbastanza spartano, ma all'interno la zona bar-gelateria-pasticceria é elegante, accogliente ed offre una variegata gamma di prodotti. Mi è stato proposto un menù aperi-cena all inclusiv molto abbondante e diversificato (diversi antipasti, tutti a base di pesce, e due primi), incluso acqua e vino + sorbetto offerto dal proprietario. Il tutto ad un costo molto ragionevole (18 euro). Non ho dato 5 stelle perché la qualità del vino bianco sfuso, servito in caraffa, é stato l'unico punto di debolezza in tutto il contesto. A tal proposito speriamo che la segnalazione fatta al proprietario dia i suoi frutti. Comunque al cliente rimane sempre la possibilità di scegliere tra varie etichette offerte fuori dal menù. Agli amanti della carne, mi corre l'obbligo di ricordare che Cristian ha una tradizione familiare in ambito macelleria per cui potrete gustare fuori menù, su richiesta, degli ottimi arrosti (filetti, tagliate, fiorentine....). Sicuramente un locale, molto vicino alla città, da tenere in considerazione!
Pleasant experience, especially for the friendliness of Cristian the owner. Home cooking but innovative at the same time, the chef likes to add a touch of innovation to some dishes of our tradition. From the outside the place seems quite spartan, but inside the bar-ice cream-pastry shop area is elegant, welcoming and offers a varied range of products. I was offered a very abundant and diversified all-inclusive aperi-dinner menu (different appetizers, all based on fish, and two first courses), including water and wine + sorbet offered by the owner. All at a very reasonable cost (18 euros). I didn't give 5 stars because the quality of the loose white wine, served in a jug, was the only weak point in the whole context. In this regard, we hope that the report made to the owner will bear fruit. However, the customer always has the option of choosing from various labels offered outside the menu.
