L'Attaccabrighe — Restaurant in Perugia

We spent a week in the region, and were always disappointed with the food, even at very expensive and highly rated restaurants. On our last evening we came here, and it was exactly what we were looking for.

Even though the place was fairly crowded we got a table right away, even without a reservation. The service was top notch. Very attentive and fast. We didn't even have to ask for anything, the wait staff anticipated our every need.

Everyone spoke English, which is not something I would expect as a matter of course, but which is certainly a big plus. The owner himself explained the menu to us and gave us a few hints as to what we might like. All this even though the place was packed and they had a big birthday group.

The food was great, I recommend the big mixed antipasti, it had so many regional things which tasted great that we wouldn't have been able to enjoy otherwise. The portions are generous, prices are more than fair, including the wine.

Big compliments to the owner, who is straight out of central casting for a warm Italian host. He runs a great place, it was the best dining experience we had and exactly what we were looking for.

Ho avuto il piacere di visitare L'Attaccabrighe, una trattoria situata in Strada Trasimeno Ovest 191 a Perugia, ed è stata un’esperienza che ricorderò con piacere. Sin dall’arrivo, il locale si distingue per il suo ambiente accogliente, con un arredamento che richiama la tradizione umbra e crea un’atmosfera conviviale e rilassata. È il posto ideale sia per una cena informale tra amici che per un pasto più intimo.

L’atmosfera e il servizio Appena entrato, sono stato accolto dal personale con un sorriso caloroso e una disponibilità che ho trovato rara. L’oste si è dimostrato estremamente competente e pronto a guidarmi nella scelta dei piatti, spiegando con passione le peculiarità delle ricette proposte. L’atmosfera del locale è familiare, e sembra di essere ospiti a casa di amici piuttosto che in un ristorante.

La cucina La cucina è il cuore pulsante de L’Attaccabrighe: autentica, genuina e profondamente legata alla tradizione umbra. Ho iniziato con un antipasto misto di salumi e formaggi locali, accompagnato da bruschette croccanti condite con olio d’oliva di produzione artigianale. Come primo, ho optato per gli spaghetti alla carbonara, una delle loro specialità: la pasta era cotta alla perfezione, condita con un sugo cremoso e bilanciato, arricchito da un guanciale croccante e saporito.

Per secondo, ho scelto una tagliata di carne tenerissima, servita con contorni di verdure grigliate e patate al forno. Le porzioni erano generose, un dettaglio che ho apprezzato molto. Non ho resistito al dessert: il tiramisù della casa si è rivelato un’autentica delizia, leggero e ben equilibrato nei sapori.

Il vino La carta dei vini è ben curata, con una selezione che celebra principalmente le etichette locali. Ho accompagnato il mio pasto con un calice di Sagrantino di Montefalco, che ha completato l’esperienza in modo sublime.

Conclusione L’Attaccabrighe è molto più di una trattoria: è un luogo dove la passione per il cibo e l’ospitalità si incontrano, offrendo un’esperienza autentica e appagante. È evidente che ogni dettaglio, dalla scelta degli ingredienti alla cura del cliente, è frutto di un impegno genuino.

Se siete a Perugia e cercate un ristorante che vi faccia sentire come a casa, con piatti straordinari e un’accoglienza impeccabile, L’Attaccabrighe è una tappa obbligata. Consiglio vivamente di prenotare, soprattutto nei fine settimana, perché è un luogo molto apprezzato sia dai locali che dai turisti.

Went in. The woman looked up asked me if I had reserved a table. I said no, she said. No table. It was early evening. They must've had seating for at least 40. There was about 6 people in there. She didn't bother to ask how long I though I would be in there, her attitude was, I thought rude, arrogant, and dismissive. The waitresses were sniggering. I asked if they could call me a taxi, I'm British and cannot speak Italian, and had got a bus there it was dark. I didn't know my way around. She called a guy over, I gave him the address and he kindly called me a taxi. The woman made me feel uncomfortable. I got the feeling she didn't want me in...
