Pizzeria Tabacchi Jazz — Restaurant in Perugia

We were passing for lunch and they were kind enough to accommodate us with two young kids. The pizza was amazing and the tagliatelle was very good. Unfortunately, the white wine was undrinkable which is odd as house wines are generally respectable in this area. Reminded me of a cheap 1980s wine in the UK!!

Really disappointed with the manager who tried to/did rip us off. A bottle of water 2€, a margarita pizza 6€, a portion of tomato pasta split between a 5 year old and 1 year old, 2 glasses of dodgy white wine, a child's ice-cream and cover charges (despite no bread) for all 4 of us - €46!!!!!!!! I questioned this and he admitted to overcharging us and gave us money back (around 20%) whilst still sneaking 50 cents away for himself. Not worth the hassle of arguing €16 for tomato pasta for 2 kids (and the 50 cents...). Shame as has really good reviews and could be great. Just don't try it on with tourists please - really...

This place offers one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had. Although the menu is limited, it’s thoughtfully curated with an intensive selection of high-quality dishes. The food is excellent—authentic, traditional, and very affordable. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional service. ​Die Pizzeria Tabacchi Jazz ist der ideale Ort für alle, die eine unkomplizierte und ehrliche Küche schätzen. Wer hier ein nobles Ambiente erwartet, ist an der falschen Adresse. Stattdessen findet man ein einfaches, bodenständiges Lokal, das seinen Fokus voll und ganz auf das Wesentliche legt: gutes Essen. ​Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die hausgemachte Pasta. Sie ist wirklich fantastisch und schmeckt, als käme sie direkt aus einer italienischen Nonna-Küche. Jedes Gericht zeugt von handwerklicher Sorgfalt und frischen Zutaten. Aber auch das restliche Angebot kann sich sehen lassen. Die Pizzen sind knusprig und gut belegt, die Portionen sind großzügig. ​Auch beim Dessert gibt es eine klare Empfehlung: das hausgemachte Tiramisu. Es ist cremig, aromatisch und der perfekte Abschluss für ein gelungenes Essen.
