Trattoria Manero — Restaurant in Pescia

Today we took a drive to Valleno. We stopped at Trattoria Manero for a beautiful lunch. Once again we were amongst the beautiful locals. As I went to move a wine glass it went tumbling off the table. My heart dropped. My amazing hubby, with a blink of an eye, saw what was happening and caught the glass 😱😱😱. He received a smile and bravo from a gentleman sitting in the other room. All the food was delicious including the house wines. As we were leaving we stopped to say hello to the gentleman mand and his wife (Simone & Elisa). They invited to sit down and have an after meal drink. We chatted for quite some time. They gave us tips on some day journeys. They even treated us to the drinks. Once again we have made new friends in our Tuscan travels....

We have had many great meals at Manero but last night they really excelled themselves. We were a party of seven including three non-meat eaters who had just arrived on a delayed flight into Pisa and they were ravenous. Fabrizzio offered a fish menu that was truly exceptional. From the simple antipasto of anchovies and cream on crostini, thru the Primi of bowls of Vongole and penne in a simple sauce and then the Secondo of Turbot, followed by homemade Panna Cotta to finish. It was a most relaxing and enjoyable evening. Thank you Fabrizzio and Massimo...

The owners are very nice, open and generous people. We had lunch and we were very happy that we found this place on our walk. We loved how the owners gave us some options on what we would like for lunch and then just prepared very tasty and beautiful dishes. You can taste love and dedication in the way they prepare the dishes. We highly recommend this restaurant for the food, the service and the cleanliness and also the prices are very pleasant for all that we got...
