Berimbao - Ristorante Lago d'Orta - Pizzeria — Restaurant in Pettenasco

Ate here twice last week, largely because on the first occasion I had the slow cooked pork fillet and it was wonderful. My partner had such severe food envy we really had to come back so he could have it as well! Over the two visits we also had the lovely bruschetta, two great pasta dishes (purple gnocchi in cherry tomato sauce with crispy pork cheek and local ravioli in a rosemary gravy-like sauce which was gorgeous) a wonderful crème brûlée, a tasty chocolate fondant and the local Piedmontese speciality called bonnet (which is a chocolatey crème caramel-type dessert with amaretti biscuit base). This is the best Italian restaurant ever. Everytime we go to the Lago d'Orta, we gonna eat here. Looks bit cheap, but good is typical Italian and tastes great.

Update 10.08 2022 Today, for the first time after 4 years being absent from the Lago d'Orta we jabe visited the restaurant again. We were really looking forward to eat the great Penne Al' Arrabiata again...

But this was not at the menu anymore.... We were very disappointed because the last few years we always took this penne and it was the best ever. So after recovering we ordered some other meals. I was great. Tasted godz bit still we miss the...

View is very nice and the pizza crust was good. Unfortunately, the place was almost empty and the waitresses were very obviously bored and uninterested in patrons, we felt a bit like our mere presence was a nuisance, maybe because we're clearly not locals? They brought my friends dish twenty minutes before our pizzas, so we basically watched him eat then he watched us eat. So we left to get dessert somewhere else and won't be...
