I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is cozy, very Italian feeling, but that's where it stops. The food wasn't very good. Maybe they were having an off night because the other reviewers gave it such high ratings, but that wasn't our experience. The tagliere con salumi e formaggi was pretty good. However, when the waitress brought the bread that accompanied it she dropped a piece on the floor. She gave that piece to our dog, nice, but never brought us another piece so we had to share 7 pieces for 8 people. No biggie though. The calamari was way over cooked and tough. The penne la grotta was too sweet. Maybe overcompensating for the acidity in the tomato. Anyhow, hope your experience is better than ours. We were the only ones there on a Friday night also so I don't think you'll need...

Pasé por La Grotta y la verdad, me gustó bastante. Es un restaurante de comida italiana tradicional, con un ambiente tranquilo y acogedor, de esos que no intentan impresionar con decoración moderna, pero te hacen sentir cómodo desde que entras.
La atención estuvo bien, aunque nos quedamos con las ganas de probar dos platos que no tenían ese día. Nada grave, porque lo que sí pedimos —penne, macarrones y unas berenjenas rellenas de carne picada— estaba muy bueno. Todo en su punto, sabroso y sin florituras. La presentación, normalita, pero lo importante es que se come bien.
El precio está bien, no te vacían el bolsillo. Y lo mejor: el café. No exagero, uno de los mejores que he probado. Intenso, con cuerpo.

Siamo stati in questo locale e abbiamo mangiato davvero molto bene: piatti gustosi, ben presentati e porzioni abbondanti. La cucina merita davvero una menzione speciale! L’unico aspetto che consiglierei di migliorare è il servizio: durante la nostra permanenza la cameriera sembrava un po’ distratta e poco attenta ai tavoli, preferendo intrattenersi vicino ai clienti a guardare la televisione. Nulla di grave, ma curare un po’ di più l’attenzione verso gli ospiti renderebbe...
