I came to Orsigna following Tiziano Terzani's literary footsteps. I love the books of this journalist/writer and I really wanted to know what he calls "My Himalaya".||The place is beautiful and this hotel is the perfect base to visit it.||It is simple but honest, clean and friendly, like the people of Orsigna that greet you with a smile and make you feel at home immediately but discretely, without disturbing the peace that you experience as soon as you arrive at Orsigna.||The rooms are simple but perfectly functional, spotless clean and with great views.||The food is superb. No taxis locally but the proprietor picked us up from Pracchia station. The hotel is on a mountain-side at 900 metres among chestnut trees, pines and beeches. The room was simple but clean and comfortable, although the shower cubicle was a bit narrow. Great view across the valley. The food was simple and good quality, and good value. All in all a very enjoyable stay.||If you're hiking west there's a path leaving the road just above the albergo to Case Moretto, where you can pick up the no. 5 trail to Rifugio...
