Bar Sonia — Restaurant in Pognana Lario

Came across Bar Sonia when I was on my last legs on a bike ride back from Sormano and Como. It was about 40 degrees in the midday sun and I had nothing left. Bar Sonia appeared like a mirage in the desert. I wasn't sure if this place actually existed or if it was my hallucinations. I was greeted with a beer, an ice cold lolly and an ice cold bottle of water. I could've sat there all night eating those lemon ice lollies and drinking beer with the locals. Bar Sonia is an absolutely fun little bar where you can go anytime during the day to relax or eat and have a drink. The food is absolutely amazing, I’m definitely going to miss it. My favorite dish was the tuna sandwhich and the cappuccinos were perfect! The people that work there are so nice and helpful. Maximillion is an absolutely great person, he was so kind and genuine. A perfect Neighborhood-Bar with Lakeview

From 4 nights at Lago Di Como we spent two evenings on the terrace of Bar Sonia. The view is simply amazing and the owner couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming.

The menu is simple but the taste of the dishes (we nearly tried all of their pizza varieties) is delicious.
