Bloody hell. My partner and I were happily strolling around Lake Garda, enjoying a lovely day, when a little hunger kicks in. We think, ‘Right, let’s find something off the tourist path—something with soul.’ We come across this quaint little tavern with promising reviews. Looks charming enough, so we walk in, excited… not knowing we were walking straight into a bloody nightmare.
First up—Caprese salad. Classic, right? Mozzarella and tomatoes. Should be simple and stunning. Instead, we get supermarket mozzarella—bland, rubbery, zero flavour. No seasoning, no character, nothing. At this point, I’m hoping it’s just a fluke.
Then the tagliatelle al tartufo arrives. And I swear to God, it’s like eating a stick of warm butter with pasta thrown in as an afterthought. The truffle? Vanished. Drowned. Might as well have flushed it down the loo. The tagliatelle was just a soggy vehicle for a sauce that had no business being on a plate.
My girlfriend orders the classic—spaghetti al pomodoro. And what do we get? An insult to Italy. Honestly, I feel guilty. That dish died in the kitchen. Murdered by a chef who clearly doesn’t give a toss.

Read moreWe had dinner last night at the restaurant. The booking was done online with an Italian restaurant service website, the fork. We had a very nice table and a great view at the garda lake and surroundings. The food was absolutely fantastic except for the raw fish starter. I probably had one of the best beef T-bone steak I’ve ever had grilled. We all had a stater, main dish and dessert. It was all great except the fish. Definitely recommend going there. Negative points are, they don’t have a lot of place to sit at the terrace on the top. Therefore don’t expect a great view. We were lucky. Also the men’s toilet is a little bit strange And not on the same level as the food and...
Read moreWe were referred here by a hotelier. One who owns one of the finest hotels in Fasano. Shrimp appetizer was cooked perfectly, sauce was magnificent, a perfect starter. Ravioli with potatoe & bacon, topped with a creamed green pea puree. Tasted like my nonna's cooking. Turbo was cooked perfectly, not overcooked, flavored with a fish stock foam. Absolutely delicious. I am an Italian American from New York with family in Naples & Sicily. Not bragging, but I know fine dining. This was Michelin quality. Will bring my friends here. Compliments to...
