Incredible quality of food and excellent presentation. Worth the the 40mn drive in the end… The veal and the cannelloni was particularly impressive. Service a bit slow, but again, it was worth the wait.

Il locale è particolare, molto bello; con un arredamento che gioca con i mille usi di bottiglie di vino e scatole in legno vuote. Il menù presenta varie proposte sia della tradizione piacentina che di pesce, entrambe rivisitate. Purtroppo una volta ordinato abbiamo aspettato a lungo sia per la prima portata sia tra una portate e l’altra. Una cosa che ci ha delusi parecchio è stato che ai piatti mancavano i sapori, non c’era nessuna nota importante ma tutte deboli che finivano per rendere il piatto superficiale. Prezzi eccessivi per la qualità proposta. Esperienza che non ripeterò!

In questo posto si punta sicuramente sulla qualità e sulla materia prima. Piatti e servizio molto curati. Tuttavia la location non è un granché. Benché sia di fianco al Castello di Riva non lo si vede per via delle siepi che circondano il locale. Il dehor è grazioso ma non molto curato, dovrebbero migliorarlo. Anche la sala interna ha bisogno di una svecchiata. Nel complesso un buon ristorante.

Was searching for best restaurant in Piacenza/Val Trebbia area and came across Riva at the Michelin Guide and it was better then I was expecting. Not Your typical Piacentini fair with lighter dishes and perfectly balanced flavors and beautiful creative presentations. Amazing little spot with a lovely pergola for a few tables. The inside is larger, but the outside is great (and they have mosquito repellent! Use it).

Everything we had was both tasty and elegant. The owner has a great wine list, and a great attitude for service.

Da PR siamo andati al ristorante. Riva consigliato da diversi amici. In rist.di una certa nomea esigo la tovaglia con tov.in stoffa,cameriere professionista,il vino prima di versare lo fa assaggiare x non dire Ke lo assaggia lui stesso. Vi viene proposto tartufo bianco.ok, praticamente tagliolini al burro,tartufo inesistente,funghi fritti poki e secchi,oca arrosto buona,altro secondo consigliato da un amico cipolla ripiena molto bella ma non può costare 30€ Antip.25,primi tagliolini i quali dovevano essere al tartufo non pervenuto,3 bottiglie.franciacorta un doce,caffè .
