La Cena di Pitagora - The name alone is epic. As soon as the gate to Maria and Davide's patio opens, you feel as if you have arrived in paradise. The carefully arranged wildflowers and herbs welcome you to the peaceful, colorful oasis. The charming Boris says hello unobtrusively and enjoys the attention when you want to give it to him.
The path to your room is green and enchanted. It is harmoniously and authentically furnished and leaves open no further desires. The terrace overlooks the beautiful patio.
The hosts are calm, humble and radiate great warmth and hospitality. They leave space for the guest, but are always available if there are questions.
The dinner and breakfast are fabulous. Maria outdoes herself and serves carefully selected dishes, all of which are plant-based, following Pythagoras' example. To all non-vegan guests: you won't miss umami flavor for a second, because the chef knows exactly what she's doing and works with fermentation techniques and the best possible local and seasonal ingredients. Every dish conveys a story and a feeling.
We had a wonderful, magical time there and were able to completely relax. Thank you, this place and feeling will stay in our hearts forever!
If you are looking for peace, serenity, inspiration, art, aesthetics, culinary pleasure and feel connected to nature, you will find what you are looking for here.

Read moreWhat a wonderful place! We stayed with Maria and Davide for only two nights, but now we're wishing it would have been more. Their locanda can be found in a small place in Northern Italy where you can enjoy peace and quiet (we loved to read our books and play cards in their courtyard). The room we stayed in was tasteful and accommodating, but the highlight of our stay was the food. The way they can cook is out of this world. When we got back to Belgium, we agreed that this was the best we've eaten in Italy on our whole journey (and we also went to fancy plant-based restaurants in Turin). Two evenings in a row, we got four amazing dishes (from appetizer to dessert) and every day we got another menu. For breakfast, Maria and Davide served us cake, pancakes, foccacia, macedonia (fruit salad) and more, all of the dishes equally tasty.
Whenever we go to Italy, I'm sure we'll go there again (even if we need to take a detour for it). I would recommend this place to everyone: if you don't have time to stay overnight, at least go for dinner!
Thank you Maria and Davide for your excellent hospitality and...
Read moreMaria, Davide and our new friend Boris(the dog) were amazing hosts. We had the best meals and hospitality we could have in Italy at this B&B. The home was clean, stayed a comfortable temperature in the heat and had everything we needed. The courtyard/garden is beautiful and covered in flowers, plants and herbs used for cooking. The village it is located in was very beautiful. We had a nice little trek to the lovely Grotte San Ponzo. There is also a bar a few meters away where we had wine and chips with some of the towns people who were really friendly. I highly recommend this place for great vegan food, hospitality and local trekking. Still thinking of the food we had there. Best vegan...
