Crotto Villa Maria Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Porlezza

The location is nice, the stuff is friendly. The menu is impressive and prizes attractive. The quality of food is different. I ordered onion soup as a starter and grilled chicken Villa Maria with grilled vegetables for a main course. The soup was excellent - big bowl, thick and tasty, whereas the chicken was hard and dry as a piece of wood, almost cremated. I informed the waiter but she didn't react. In the end of the dinner I was given a bill for 25.80, which included the full value of the chicken 9 eur. Later on, when I paid the bill at the counter, the cashier returned me without saying anything 3.75 eur more than it should hade been returned. I don't know what it was - a kind of compensation or what. They could resolve it better if apologized and offered a free desert. I should say that this place is quite popular among local people. May be they treat locals better than foreigners? Concerning myself, I ain't going to visit...

The kind service is warm, welcoming and friendly, the freshly prepared entrees are fabulously flavorful and plated enticingly in a comfortably cozy, yet sophisticated dining venue.

Abbiamo visitato un sabato a pranzo senza prenotazione ed il ristorante era piuttosto affollato. Malgrado ciò ci hanno accomodato sulla bellissima terrazza in un ambiente gradevole. Non solo questo, ma i tempi d'attesa non erano mai lunghi. La pizza che ho orinato io credo sia stata la migliore che abbia mai mangiato in vita mia: sottilissima, croccante e cotta a perfezione... un sogno! Anche la pasta era ottima e tutte le porzioni che abbiamo visto sono molto abbondanti. I prezzi sono davvero ragionevoli; dal lun-ven offrono anche un menu per lavoratori a 12€. L'impressione generale è stata molto positiva: ottimo cibo, ambiente molto accogliente, prezzi convenienti - dunque ci torneremo sicuramente. Hanno gestito la situazione di un locale pieno divinamente. Unica cosa che poteva rendere l'esperienza ancora più piacevole, sarebbe stato il servizio un poco più sorridente ed ospitale, piuttosto che espressioni stressate o stanche... anche se comprensibile considerando tutti i...
