Albergo RISTO' Italia — Restaurant in Porto Tolle

The restaurant is very popular with the locals so a reservation seems to be necessary. After reading the reviews I had high expectations, but I have to say that I was quite disappointed. I was given an outdated English language menu, and realised after I had ordered that there was a special menu offered to others, but only in Italian. The food was very bland, and it felt uninspired. I had to ask for a lemon wedge with my fried eel. Also prices were quite high in relation to what I got. The pizzas looked good and there was a constant stream of people picking them up to eat at home. Generally I got the feeling that the attention was on the local customers. Great coffee with some interesting options. There's also a small shop with local products, especially rice, with friendly prices. The staff, who could try to smile a bit more, spoke zero English, except the woman that tried hard and succeeded when I checked in. She was also the only person to give me a smile. Great hotel for the money - 5 stars. Clean rooms and a good bed. Would stay again but eat somewhere else, or maybe try the pizza. Breakfast also...

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel durante un weekend lungo. Arriviamo il venerdì sera alle ore 20, il personale è gentile e provvediamo a fare il check-in (la reception è praticamente nel mezzo della sala ristorante dove c'è la gente che cena, scelta discutibile). Ci viene assegnata la camera numero 10 al secondo piano (una quadrupla, noi eravamo comunque solo una coppia). La temperatura all'interno della stanza è torrida, sicuramente sopra i 30 gradi. Poco male mi dico, accendiamo il clima! E sorpresa! Il clima della camera matrimoniale funziona poco e male, nel senso che butta fuori pochissima aria anche al massimo della potenza e soprattutto facendo un rumore pazzesco, difficilmente di notte si riuscirebbe a dormire. Poco male mi dico, ci hanno dato una camera che ha due stanze, proviamo ad andare a vedere il clima di quell'altra. E sorpresa: anche qui esce solo un filo minimo di aria, ancora meno che nella stanza matrimoniale. Decidiamo di spalancare tutte le finestre mentre andiamo a cena (per altro una buona cena, sembra quasi che le due gestioni di hotel e ristorante siano diverse) e facciamo presente alla reception il problema. Ci viene risposto che non ci sono altre stanze libere per eventualmente spostarci e che faranno presente al titolare. Meno male che in questo weekend le temperature di notte non erano calde o afose altrimenti sarebbe stato impossibile dormire. Seconda notte idem come sopra, nessuno è intervenuto a verificare ed eventualmente riparare i climatizzatori e risolvere il problema. Colazione assolutamente insufficiente, poca varietà e poca quantità di prodotti (brioches surgelate, prosciutti e formaggio, una crostata e poco altro) Peccato perché ripeto, la cena della prima sera era ottima e anche la location non sarebbe male, diciamo che per 72 € a notte mi sarei aspettato qualcosa di meglio. Nota di colore a parte: la scritta sulla porta della camera che indica in inglese "2st floor" mi ha fatto...

We stayed here for one night after exploring the Valli di pesca and the next morning headed to one of the Po River Delta parks. It was a great location nearby to both. We wished we had bicycles because the hotel is near to the scenic bike route, and even had electric bike chargers. The room was very nice, simple & cozy. The restaurant was a great surprise, really kind staff, accommodating for gluten sensitivity, and delicious local food! We loved the cozze (some of the best we have had, even living in Venice).
