If you are in the area and looking for a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere, Kügler Speckstube is an absolute must. Every visit has been a consistently positive experience, and it’s become one of my go-to spots whenever I want a reliable and satisfying meal.

The service is always on point. The team is attentive without being intrusive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. One thing I particularly appreciate is the timing between dishes, there’s never an excessive wait, which shows how well the kitchen and staff are coordinated.

After a long drive and a visit to Lago di Brais, we decided to find a place for dinner – something local, authentic, and not pretentious. This restaurant was exactly that. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive.

We started with a cold platter of cured meats – ham, sausage, and bacon – served with bread and anise-flavored crackers. For the main course, we chose the daily tasting menu: black ravioli, cheese ravioli, and sage risotto – all of it was perfect. The ravioli were full of flavor and clearly homemade. Then came roasted meat with cooked carrots, once again with a touch of anise. A very well-thought-out and delicious menu.

To finish, we had mint ice cream that reminded us of After Eight chocolate, and a chocolate mousse. The ice cream rounded off the whole meal beautifully.

I would definitely come back. Don’t miss the grappa with straw and honey – it smells like herbal tea and goes down smoothly...

Compleanno di mio marito con amici intimi. Questa sera siamo stati a cena sulle montagne del Trentino a Dobbiaco  da KUGLER SPECKSTUBE.

Che dire: Il recupero di una stube antica, location veramente bellissima, le sale piccole e molto accoglienti, completamente arredate in stile Trentino che ti fa subito immergere nell'ambiente casalingo, davvero! Mi è piaciuto tantissimo.

Mise en place e servizio.

Comoda l'apparecchiatura a tavola,  vista l'offerta disinvolta. Molto attento e veloce il servizio: hanno assecondato ogni nostra richiesta.

Cibo.

Con la promessa di tornare per un assaggio approfondito, abbiamo preso il menù degustazione.

Un gran antipasto con affettati misti del territorio, ben allestito con prodotti di eccelsa qualità e quantità. Accompagnato da pane caratteristico. Giudizio? Ottimo.

A seguire paste ripiene e risotto alla rapa rossa, un piatto fuori dal comune!

Secondi: La Guancia brasata  di vitello  e il maialino con cotenna croccante ci hanno conquistati. La carne tenerissima e succulenta. Giudizio: ottimo.

Anche i dolci non hanno deluso le aspettative, tutti equilibrati e ben studiati.

La scelta del vino sfuso è stata saggia, leggero e profumato ha scandito le portate e ripulito il palato di volta in volta.

Conto da osteria; abbastanza nella media e non pretenzioso.

Complessivamente, sopra la media soprattutto per quanto riguarda gli affettati dell'antipasto e i tagli di carne.

We got a tasting menu that was recommended by Davide and the food was incredible when we went two months ago. As we had to wait a few minutes for our table, the owner (whose name we didn’t catch!) arranged us outdoor seating on the lovely terrace (with a heater, fairy lights and the music of our choice), and sat down with the two of us to chat alongside some glasses of prosecco! He was very funny and we loved our time there, alongside the amazing food. We know where to come back in the Dolomites!
