Together with my family, we took part in a farm day experience at Alfarëi. A family run farm in the fresh air with views of the mountains.

Matteo was a brilliant host - friendly, happy to answer questions and great with our children. We were able to get hands on in their state of the art barn, helping to feed and clean the animals. Our children had a go on the machinery, adults were able to cut the grass using a scythe and we also helped to repair the traditional fences surrounding the barn. To finish off the day, we had a delicious Ladin lunch prepared by Matteo’s parents and we’re able to look inside the rooms of their house which have been preserved to share what Ladin life would have been like back in the day. A real mix of old and new, combined for an unforgettable experience. Thank you...

The steep climb through the tiny mountain roads takes you to the heart of a small, almost abandoned village. If you arrive after dark, you’re surely wondering whether you’re at the right place. Yet, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. The centuries’ old hut has almost certainly seen a lot. It stands its ground quietly, almost to confuse you that there’s no one there. But once you reach the top of the stairs and push the door open, a world of magic appears before you. Greeted by the lovely team, you’re seated not on your own table, but on the table you’ll share with other guests. Because that’s how this food is best enjoyed. With others.

Grazie di cuore,...

I can’t begin to describe how amazing this restaurant was! It truly felt like we walked into someone’s house for dinner (we definitely couldn’t find the entrance at first and thought we had!). Dinner is a preset 5 course meal. We had a ricotta/speck start, soup and these fried pastries with fillings, ricotta and spinach dumplings, goulash with polenta, and apple fritters. Ended with coffee and grape schnapps. Every course we would get asked “do you want a little more?” And they would bring by more food and put it on your plate. I felt like I was at my grandmothers house 😭 we loved this so much and can’t...
