Rifugio Alpino Pralongià — Restaurant in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

I am a frequent visitor to Corvara and the Dolomites for many years. Rifugio Prolangia is always an en route refreshment destination for hikes from Passo Falzarego back to Corvara. This year my wife and I decided to stay here for a few nights and enjoy it as a base to do local hikes. My wife first came here to the original refugio in 1975 for apfelstrüdel after climbing Sett Sas. The old house is still nearby and the current building was built around 1978. It is a warm and comfortable albergo/refugio with all the amenities of a modern hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Guests have their own dining room for really tasty breakfasts and delightful evening dinners with views over the mountains as the sun goes down. The food is excellent, the wine is good, the service is top notch. All in all, we cannot hesitate to recommend a few nights holiday at this very special place. We attended Sunday Mass, arranged by the owners' family, at the little church alongside. We have been skiing in Alta Badia for 3 years now. In addition to the joy of skiing, we look forward to meals every day, as culinary delights await us! Pralongià's cuisine is outstanding for us, we visit the restaurant several times during the one-week skiing. Sometime in the afternoon just for a Sacher cake... 😋

This year, the restaurant's interior, atmosphere, and layout were completely renewed. The change is very positive! Unfortunately, the toilet was moved to the basement, but this resulted in more tables and more space for catering.

At lunchtime, there is a line at the entrance, in which case you have to state under what name and how many people you want a table for. When a table becomes available, you are called by name. A professional, cultured solution!
