Rifugio Col Pradat — Restaurant in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

I had my wedding at Col Pradat in September and it was beyond perfect. We could not have picked a better venue for us. We had never been to the Dolomites so we had to rely on google and our wedding planner, Jlenia Costner, for the recommendations and the photos we had seen before did not even do it justice. The views are stunning. Our ceremony set up was perfect. The aperitif and dinner were beyond 5 stars. Everything was delicious and well thought out and intentionally plated. Oracio made sure that my husband and I were happy and satisfied with every detail down to the very important wine pairings. The restaurant itself is very quaint and gives you a home feel. We stayed the night in the lodge which was also perfect. The views from the balcony are incredible....

today I will write my subjective assessment, I was really looking forward to this cottage, so that's probably why it didn't turn out the way I wanted. I'll start with waiters, one waiter who orders and cashiers is terribly few. I ordered food and was told that it was served until 11:30 a.m., while it was brought to the table next to me at the time (12:15 p.m.) when I ordered. The waiter, without interest or willingness, shrugged his shoulder and left. We ended up ordering antipasti. I prefer not to comment on the food. Was a bad experience. Ordered one of the few meals which ist marked as vegetarian in the menu. It came and was with meat. I poorly noticed just after the first bite. So thanks for letting me eat meat for the first time after 10 years :(

The two waiters I told first totally understood the situation but the waiter who seemed to have some responsibility told my I just had to say that I'm vegetarian. No understanding from his side after I admited that I don't have to say that I'm vegetarian if the meal is marked as vegetarian with an icon in the menu. Got a grappa as an excuse but still had to pay the full price. This kind of behavior in service is totally whack. Wouldn't come back....
