Tantalus — Restaurant in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

I'm sorry, but we had a really bad experience the past week at Tantalus. First, we arrived at 9 PM, perfectly in time with our booking, they gave us a table at 9.20 PM. Then we had to order our food, and while my friend is celiac, the really rude waiter kept criticising her choices and belittling her questions about the menu (which where completely understandable seen her pathology). The entries arrived ad 10.20 PM, with one hour delay. The main dish arrived at 10.45 PM, while the waiter kept being extremely rude and unwelcoming. At 10.55 PM, only after 10 minutes since we received the main dishes, the same boorish waiter began to pressure us to finish the food quickly... only after 10 minutes the food itself was delivered to our table!!! Not only, he questioned my friend about how slow she was eating, asking her to finish faster as the kitchen was going to close at 11 PM... as it wasn't important that we had to wait one hour and half for our order! Moreover, he denied our request to have the dessert, the coffee and the amaro! He just wanted us to be gone... I mean, DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW TO RUN A RESTAURANT?! But it's not the end guys... after 1 hour and a half delay, after we weren't able to finish our dinner, after putting up with a very rude waiter all evening, we received a comic bill, where they fined us 50 euros each!!! I mean, we are Italian, and we know how to judge a bill based on the food/service delivered in an Italian pizzeria. It was crazy! We then found out, the waiter made us pay 2 quarters of wine (after having asked the home made wine) more than 20 euros!! We asked for an explanation, after all the clients were gone, in order not to damage the restaurant's image right away, and not only the same waiter started to mock us, admitting that he conned us with a very expensive wine, but he started began to insult us and respond rudely to our objections. In the meanwhile the rest of the staff kept apologising to us... All of this to say, not considering the delay of the kitchen, that we could have understood as it can happen to anyone once in a while, the real problem of the night, was the incredible rude and unbearable waiter. I'm not sure why he is still working in the restaurant as the staff was clearly used to his behave, and kept apologising as they already knew how horrible he was... maybe he is the son of the owner or something like that, otherwise not sure how they bare his presence, which completely ruined our experience at...

Tantulus is an amazing place for a ski holiday. It's about 3 minutes from the ski lift with a car, the rooms were spacious, clean, new and overall great. The restaurant below had delicious food and good service and it even had sauna in...
