I visited a restaurant yesterday to celebrate the birthday of a close friend along with a group of 11 people. The service was decent, and our server was attentive to the group's orders, but there was a mistake with my own order. She brought me a different dish than what I had requested. However, she promptly realized the error and rectified it immediately.
Some members of our group decided to have fresh seafood, including oysters and other raw fish and seafood options. Another person ordered a dish containing prepared tuna, but they mentioned a strange smell and taste in the dish, indicating that something was off and an ingredient was missing. Interestingly, one of our group members happened to be an experienced fisherman. The raw seafood products we had were not fresh and had an unpleasant taste (certainly not in a good way). Eventually, we informed our server about these issues during the meal. She relayed our concerns to the head chef.
To our surprise, the head chef came to our table with an aggressive attitude and started lecturing us, claiming that we were not knowledgeable about the quality of fish and that we shouldn't have an opinion on its freshness. He insisted that he knew better about what he had prepared. Despite our friend's repeated requests for him to leave our table and stop the discussion as his attitude was disturbing everyone, he continued to raise his voice. The situation became embarrassing and humiliating, especially considering it was a birthday celebration. Other patrons in the restaurant were observing the commotion at our table, making matters worse.
Not only did they fail to apologize for ruining our experience and appetite, but they even included the problematic dishes we had complained about on the bill.
Overall, our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The mistake with my order, the poor quality and taste of the seafood, and the aggressive and unprofessional behavior of the head chef all contributed to a negative and uncomfortable dining experience. We had expected a pleasant celebration but left feeling disheartened and dissatisfied. We cannot recommend this restaurant based on the way we were treated and the subpar quality...
Read moreAVOID! Pleae go eat somewhere else. We ordered salads and food with raw tuna and also oysters for a group of 12 people, one of us is an experienced fisherman from Italy and immediately saw the oysters were bad and the tuna too old - very dangerous to eat fish kept in heat or old , as you can end up in the hospital- it was not hard to believe, as were the only group there and the restaurant empty mid day. The service was ok and we sent back the oysters and anything with tuna in it, we did not ask remove the dishes from the check or made any comment, we just ordered different food.
The chef immediately came to argue with us with a very dramatic tone, said that we have no idea what fresh is. He was visibly offended by us sending back the plates. We got into an argument before we told him to leave as he was getting more and more angry and shouting in front of our kids.
We chose to pay everything and leave (even plates that have not arrived yet ) as it was clear that the food will be tainted by his reaction. Again, way better places to eat...
Read moreWe order a bottle of prosecco and they gave us something that wasn't even on the menu and we didn't order without asking us first if we wanted it, but charged more than the other bottle that we wanted and when we order the second one they were going to do the same!!! In the evening we couldn't use the toilet and the lady very rude got in the middle of the door and me in a very aggressive way even though I told her my phone was charging inside and I just wanted to have it, really bad attitude even though we spent a lot of money on drinks, food and we were going upstairs for the aperitivo. Terrible service, very rude staff, no service to the sunbeds, you have to go there for everything and then they complain because you have sand on you, it's a beach what do you expect? The food overprice and very plain.
I would never come back to...
