AZUL BEACH CLUB — Restaurant in Quartu Sant'Aleni/Quartu Sant'Elena

The club itself is beautiful and spacious, but unfortunately let down by the poor service. After arriving, we went to the restaurant area to grab a bite. Even though there were English speaking waiters in the venue, the one serving us didn’t understand English. When I asked if someone else could assist, he simply said no. It took us 5–10 minutes struggling with Google translate just to figure out whether they had fresh juices. The beach area is nice, so I can’t complain about that part, but there are no waiters assigned to it. If you want anything, you have to walk back to the restaurant yourself. It’s a shame, because with the right approach this place could increase sales and easily reach the level of top-class beach clubs, but instead it’s being held back by poor management. The biggest disappointment was when we returned to the restaurant around 4 PM because we were hungry, only to be told the kitchen was closed as they were preparing for the evening party. When you go to a beach club and pay premium prices, you’re not just paying for a sunbed and umbrella — the restaurant and service are part of the whole experience. Otherwise, there’s no point in spending that kind of money just to swim in the sea. Hopefully, they improve the management, because it’s truly a beautiful venue...

Atmosphere was great they played house music. Went for apretivo. Ordered some spritz and the waiter offered some apretivo snacks and we said yes. Never got our snacks. The restaurant is just opening so it seems like they are just getting their footing which is why I don’t want to take off more stars on the service. We asked to put in a food order and the kitchen was apparently too busy with only 3 tables in the restaurant. Very odd. Overall the service was not great but the atmosphere and playlist was good. Azul is a lovely place to spend the day. The location is great, right by the beach but not too crowded, with beautiful views and a very laid-back atmosphere.

The food was very good, though the portions were on the smaller side. Perfect if you’re looking for something light rather than a big meal. The staff were friendly and spoke several languages, which made everything easy and welcoming.
