B Stone Beach sits at the end of the coastal road leading out of Cagliari towards Spiaggia Morjore Rosso, and it’s easy to reach with convenient street parking nearby. The entrance is welcoming, with a walkway that guides you through the dining area and directly onto the beachfront.
The setup is simple yet comfortable: sunbeds and parasols, each with a small attached table. Music drifts over from the restaurant, and each table has a QR code with its number. However, food and drink orders aren’t taken at the beach itself — you’ll need to go up to the bar. Payment for the sunbeds is handled at the restaurant (€35 for two beds with a parasol on Sundays). There’s also a €2 coperto charge.
The sea was refreshing (a little on the cold side), and although the lifeguard’s phone music added some background noise, the live music at lunchtime created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Despite it being a busy Sunday, the beach wasn’t overcrowded, and the location right on the water made for a very pleasant day.
Food & Drinks • Fried squid, fries, and lime mayonnaise – The squid was a bit over-battered, but the fries were generous and tasty. • Focaccia Veggy (grilled vegetables & pesto) – Nicely grilled focaccia, large portion, and quite satisfying (€8). • Mezza Pinsa Margherita – Our original order for this item was unavailable (€6). • Focaccia with sausage (eggplant, pecorino, dried sausage, mayonnaise) – The grilled sausage didn’t work well in the dish; when warm, it left an unpleasant taste (€8).
Drinks included draft beer (€5), served in generous 1L glasses, though surprisingly slow to arrive even with only one other table present.
Overall B Stone Beach offers a relaxed, well-positioned beach experience with straightforward but comfortable facilities. The live music and seafront setting were definite highlights, while the food was mixed — some dishes were enjoyable, others less so. Service could be a little sharper, but for a sunny Sunday at Poetto, it delivered a laid-back and...
Read moreI almost never leave negative reviews, but this was such a disappointing (and frankly outrageous) experience that I feel obligated to warn others: DO NOT GO HERE.
We arrived at 13:45 but were told we couldn’t order food yet. Instead of being able to order from the more casual cafeteria options, they made us sit and wait, clearly just to push us toward the more expensive restaurant menu. It felt like a calculated move to upsell, not serve.
Once we finally ordered, things only got worse:
The shrimp in the shrimp salad was clearly spoiled—slimy, off-smelling, and a genuine FOOD SAFETY RISK. When we told the waiter, they brushed it off with, “I’m sorry you don’t like shrimp.” Completely missing the point—this wasn’t about taste, this was about unsafe food. The Caesar salad came with raw chicken. Yes, RAW. And it didn’t even include Grana Padano, which was on the menu. The couscous salad was slimy and completely flavorless. Basically inedible. (See photo). To make matters worse, the bar atmosphere was absurd. The bartender was blasting loud music, randomly skipping tracks, and at one point started playing a kazoo. It felt more like a frat house than a restaurant.
And then came the bill: €100—for five dishes, none of which we could actually eat beyond the lettuce leaves. One hundred euros for some greens, bad shrimp, raw chicken, and noise.
The only positive part of the visit was one kind waitress. I truly hope she finds a better place to work soon—she deserves far better than this.
Final verdict: Unsafe food, poor service, chaotic atmosphere, and outrageous prices. Don’t let the positive reviews mislead you—this was the worst meal we had in all of...
Read moreA unique and pleasant place with cheerful staff. We had the last day of a long weekend and a few hours before our flight. We decided to spend it on Poetto beach in Cagliari. The beach is known for its length as well as for its variety of restaurants. Based on references, we chose this place and we did not regret it. We arrived in the morning, we were greeted by smiling staff with a good mood and willingness to advise. Especially the lady in purple rubber boots :) Her energy and smile give the place a soul that you can't find just anywhere. Not to mention the food - it was gastronomic porn (tuna itaki or as it was written, you definitely have to try it). The overall impression was very pleasant - this place is such that we would like to come back here if we were...
