El Faro — Restaurant in Quartu Sant'Aleni/Quartu Sant'Elena

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, but it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. From the outside, it looked inviting, but once inside, it felt quite old-fashioned. None of the staff spoke English, which made things tricky, and the place had more of a small-town pub vibe than a restaurant. Most of the locals were glued to the football match on TV, so the atmosphere was pretty flat. No music… The food was not impressive — probably a 1 or 2 out of 5. It didn’t feel very authentic either. Restaurant is crowdy, but there is also few waitress so there is no problem with bring attention and make an order. But pizza is definitely not their strong point. Is not typical Italian style with thin pan, it is more European style with thick pan, also cheese is not strongly connected with pan which is strange. You have to pay 2 euro for "coperta", and drinks are extremely expensive (e.g. orange juice cost 4 Euro, beer also cost 4 Euro). We came here twice for pizza which were great. The second time I had fish which was cooked beautifully but the server did not tell me it was a massive dish that was way to much for one person, and as it is sold by the weight was very expensive which is not clear as the menu is only in Italian - cost 24euros.
