Martedì sera arriviamo in anticipo.

Chiedo come funzioni.

Resto sorpreso: nessuno ci aveva informati.

A quel punto continuiamo.

This remote osteria is exactly what you would expect from “old world” hospitality and food. Leonardo the owner is a character and so fun. We never saw a menu nor needed to, and felt completely at home. We were steered in the right direction with food and had one of the best meals of our two month Italy trip. We ate affettati, pappa pomodoro and a delicious, unique spreadable salami typical in this area. Then we had tagliatelle with the house ragù that was perfect. The tagliata was truly exceptional. The flavor and tenderness of the beef was the best we have eaten. They served a tasty gorgonzola sauce on the side that was surprisingly delicate. Roasted potatoes and salad were perfectly fly made as was the coffee. Make a point...

The worst experience of my life. We stopped by because we saw the good reviews (which I can not understand at all) and asked if a table would be free. The owner then started in a super rude way to tell us „what we think - this is a nice restaurant“ - meanwhile there were a lot of free tables. But the worst thing is that he started insulting us in front of the other guests in Italian in a way that he would not dare saying in our face. If you are hungry and not in the mood to be treated like a second class citizen - search for a different place - there a lot nicer places with weirdly a bit worse rating which I don’t understand. I would bet on bought reviews in this case… Just filter here for bad reviews and you will see...

I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough, being one of the best hidden gems in Tuscany. It's tucked away, but well worth the trip, and since the first time I visited I couldn't wait to be back. You can tell when you're there that everybody loves the place and are surrounded by locals and regulars. You don't see a menu and don't want to, preferring to be swept away by the generosity of Leonardo and his fantastic food and drink. Just how an Osteria should be – you couldn't have a more authentic and memorable experience. The Fiorentina steak (call to reserve in advance) was the best I've ever had. Thanks so much Leonardo and see you soon!

Absolute Empfehlung!!!

Incredible restaurant, more of an experience, amazing host who knows how to make an experience for its visitors. Leonardo was amazing, he runs a fantastic restaurant, made us feel at home at once, we were blessed by some native Italians in the restaurant having a joyful time. The food was fantastic, we didn't choose, Leonardo asked what we liked and brought us a selection of incredible food. Belissima Salute!
