We spent 4 nights at this place, my husband, my 15month toddler and myself. Let me start with the positive, the place is sooo clean, very curated, everywhere you look is clean cut treet and trimmed grass...and its in the most beautiful peaceful setting. Rooms are basic but thereagain very clean. The bed; one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on whilst travelling. Most of the staff helpful and very nice, except for one who seemed to be rather indifferent to guests' needs. The cons, if you are travelling with a toddler the room has a major problem with where to hang/store your clothes, no drawers available, it only has a shelf and like 5 hangers. Since toddlers simply like to touch and tug on everything, we literally had to leave clothes in luggage, or put them very high up on the wardrobe which obviously is not convenient to get out something in due course.in a nutshell minimal space to store belongings. The room doesn't have a kettle and tea making facilities! I wouldn't have expected this out of a 4 star. Also make sure to bring all the small basic toiletries along since only washing soap is available, other things like cotton buds, shower cap, blade etc ...nothing else is provided for free. Breakfast is not on buffet basis, I found it quite limited from options and uncomfortable to keep asking for lets say butter, then toast, then juice...being not self service you have to wait for waiter to help you out with each request, sometimes we would have eaten everything and toast still not on table. The restaurant; beautiful BUT very very limited menu mainly based on meats! But the most disappointing factor is this; do not get fooled by the word agriturismo, THIS IS NOT and agriturismo, no farm feeling, no animals , no local on site produce of theirs that is then used for the meals, basically it's like eating and staying at a nice hotel, that's it, but we wanted the agriturismo feeling which for sure we...
Read moreWow! What a beautiful location! added to an outstanding Service! We stayed in room 10 for six nights. We really felt pampered from day one with Valentina, the receptionist, followed by Elenia in the morning shift, while having an excellent breakfast, and being luckier and luckier at dinner time, served by Mathias! Such educated, helpful and professional waiter. We just loved him! Keep it up!!!!||We did not even think twice, me and my partner to leave the place to eat somewhere as we were welcomed and served always with his contagious smile. The food was excellent and so was the presentation! and although the restaurant was busy especially at weekends with outsiders, the quality and the quantity of food was regularly of a high standard! ||Thank you all for your dedication, professionalism and above all your humility. || A big thanks to all the staff including the housekeeping as our room was always neat and clean. It is very appreciated.|| Thank you for accepting to extend our stay another night and also for your special accommodation offer! ||Definitely, we will come back again. Until then, we wish you the best. ||Keep it up! we were blessed to have such wonderful staff like you. You...
Read moreMy partner and I agreed that this place gives off "corporate retreat" vibes. Although the landscape around Etna is gorgeous, you cam barely see it from the property because rooms face an internal pool and fountain, with buildings blocking views of the hills. Privacy is minimal; people could (and did) look into our room if we opened our only external window/door. There is nowhere to get away from other guests and enjoy a glass of wine and look out at the hills. My partner and I were on honeymoon and left early -- eating the cost of our reservation -- because we found the complex sterile and unpleasant.
I could imagine the hotel being nice for families with small kids or groups of people traveling together. But if you're looking for romance, privacy, or a place to quietly enjoy Etna, I recommend...
